My goals for March were:
-------------------
At least 100 miles on the bike. I hope mother nature agrees with me. If she doesn't, then a minimum of 13 spin classes in March.

Run 5K on treadmill at least 3 times and outside at least once.

Let shoulder pain heal the first week of March (shut down weightlifting for a week).
--------------------

Did 162 miles on the bike, and 7 spin classes.

No running at all.

Shoulder is better.

Yes, Aired up the tires and rode around the block to loosen up. Still a bit nippy in KC but think that it's time to take a ride around Longview Lake for the first trip of the year.

Stay tuned! Dori.s

March is "clean-up" time. I washed the winter salt and grime off my bike. It looks like it made it through in good shape except for the pedals which are cheap anyway. Switched to my clipless pedals; swaped the studded tires for slicks; cleaned up the chain. Still need to take it in for a tune-up. Also bought my 4'10" nine year old daughter a new bike - a gently used hybrid half price with 28" wheels. We've been riding around the neighbourhood together. Should be a FUN spring.

Don't you hate the wind. Seems like it is always straight over the handlebars, no matter which way your are going. But then it is March after all. Keep up the good work everyone.

Work has been eating my brain, so I haven't been posting, but I've continued to ride:

Mon. 3/9 15.7 mi
Wed. 3/11 20
Thurs. 3/12 18
Friday 3/13 0.8
I might not normally throw that last one in, but it was hauling a trailer (full of veggies for half the time, and was actually interesting)

I got a good start yesterday:
21.2 mi last night. I tried a different route, it was about a mile shorter, but didn't take less time, and was less pretty, so I'm back to the old route next Wednesday. It was a great ride. I pushed harder than I had been. My legs were feeling it when I woke up this morning, but I'm still riding home tonight.

March resolutions, ok I find setting intentions does increase the possiblility of them happening so...depending on the weather, my intentions for March include:
Walk the Dogs, Ride a bike or Shovel snow every day.
Do full bowflex routine 4X a week
continue to eat clean

Happy March everyone!

OK everyone, you are now committed to your resolutions, at least for March. Post them on your bathroom mirror, refrigerator, or key chain, where ever you will see them regularly. Keep us posted on how you are doing. It takes 21 days to form a good habit, good luck everyone.

The middle of this month I want to start my commute to work. I have a riding buddy and it works out great. The ride into work is 10.4 miles and as soon as the time changes and the weather cooperates we will be back in the saddle. 20 miles a day 3 days a week...

I will run (either outside or on treadmill) three times a week.

I'll start using Spark's food tracker again (I hear it's new and improved!)

I would love to say I'll ride, but it's not warm enough yet!

Here it is the end of February already. Where is the year going? It is time to think about our March resolutions. I have managed to keep my Jan (eat 5-6 times/day) until I got my braces, but still doing pretty good, and my Feb (30 minutes exercise daily) with only 2 exceptions. Remember, if you consciously do something for 21 days it becomes a habit. Now for March ...

For March I will do stretches (or yoga) everyday. I have noticed I am getting stiffer as I get older and really need to work on that.

Anyone else care to share your resolutions?
