I have a Cateyemicro 6000 cyclometer which is about 20 years old. It does everything I want it do except it does not auto stop/start when you are not riding. But it does mileage or kilometers, cadence, max speed, average speed, trip distance, odometer.

I have a Garmin Edge 2005. I got last month and so far it has done wonderfully. It comes with everything from GPS to time, speed, distance avg Speed, time, max speed cal's burned and you can down load it to your computer, to keep track of your progress!

I've enjoyed my Polar S150 - it combines both a Heart Rate Monitor and a bike computer to help me monitor my workouts. I'm sure that I'll be ready to upgrade to a GPS-aided system before too long.

My LBS installed my computer and the only trouble I have had is wearing out (and replacing) the battery.

What 2 have you tried and what problems have you had? Someone here might be able to help you resolve problems, rather than starting from scrath.

I have a CatEye CD300DW that I love on my road bike, and a Sigma Sport on my commuting bike, which has lasted me about 8 years so far.

I want to get a bike computer or sensor to see how many miles I ride. I have bought two but haven't been happy with either of them and wasn't so sure if I was using them correctly or not. I don't want to waste anymore money and not be happy with what I bought so I would appreciate recommendations.
