I had issues with wire and flats quite a bit when I would ride on I80 a lot. I quickly learned to stop for a minute and check very carefully before putting in a new tube. Very important.
A ship is safe in harbor, but that's not what ships are for.
I had the same problem with flats this summer. My husband finally searched and found a staple!
I haven't had too much luck this summer with riding, I've been running into little problems with my bike including many flat tires. I think the problem is pretty much solved for now though which is a relief.
I bought a brand new inner tube and tire two weeks ago, after getting a flat because I ran over a glass bottle accidentally. Then I was in a minor bike accident when a guy opened his door right into me while I was riding my bike. Thankfully I was in one piece from that but two days later when I went to get back on the bike again, the tire was flat...again. So my boyfriend and his friend patched it up for me, I thought everything was fine and on Saturday when I was riding to my boyfriend's house my bike tire was flat again.
So last night we went back to the bike shop and the nice man at the bike shop took his time and finally realized there was a tiny piece of wire stuck in my tire, so he took it out with tweezers and I should be okay now. It's so weird I never thought to check for a little piece of wire.
