Thank you for the suggestion to read about the "perfect weight". This is very helpful to me.
I'm new to this site and wondering how you get friends on your page. I could use a few good friends.
Thanks everyone for the posts! And thanks Joann for suggesting the "Perfect Weight" articles. I am definitely going to lose another 5 and then see how I feel, look, etc.
On your loss!! Woot!

Congrats on the weight loss ..... however, have you been on your bike this week as promised? Remember i was going to keep you accountable;-) LOL
Meeting goals is exhilerating and affirming. I know how good this feels and am happy to celebrate this good news! hApPy dAnCe!
...where attention goes, energy flows...
Congratulations on a job well done!
I also struggled with deciding what my 'goal' weight should be & still wonder if I am kidding myself, LOL!
Using a few of the SP references for my size, I chose somewhere in the mid/lower area of their recommendations. So, in theory it should be obtainable...I hope ~ still not thoroughly convinced ;-)
The article is called 'Find your perfect weight' here on SP, in case you're curious.

That is so great! It always feels good to attain a goal. Well done.
To my Spark cycling friends;
One thing I love about this team is that we don't focus on food, weight loss, or obsess over every calorie eaten, but rather discuss living a healthy lifestyle through cycling.
(OK, here's the big "but")...
However, I am very excited to report that the week of June 23 I set a goal to lose 10 pounds by August 9, the date I am attending a family wedding. I was sick of staying the same weight even though my fitness had greatly increased over the prior six months. This was due to me binge-stress eating and just not keeping myself accountable for the amount and quality of food that I was putting in my mouth.
I am so excited to report that through healthy eating and calories counting I reached that goal today. When I set this goal I had lost 2 pounds so that brings my total to 12! I must tell you that it feels really good to have met this goal and I have now decided to lose another 5 and then reassess from there (at this point I don't really know what my optimum weight should be but I know I'm now in the ballpark). Hopefully, I will be able to re-incorporate cyling/spinning into the mix to increase my overall health!
As always, thanks for letting me share. No reponses necessary!
