Applying Bodyglide is just like applying deodorant from a stick. No mess, no fuss. And you can use it for running too, an added bonus.

How does bodyglide compare to Chamois Bttr...? I've never used it... Chamois Bttr works well, but it's a bit messy to apply...

GTOWN:

Go here ( www.bodyglide.com/ ) and then clicnk on the "store finder" link in the bottom left corner.

It applies the same way as a deodorant stick. No mess or residue, and it works!

Where do you buy bodyglide?

Also, bibs are fantastic. I got my first pair about 2 weeks ago and had no idea how comfortable one could be on the bike. I certainly won't buy any more shorts!

I wish this post was up on Sat. .... I'm kind of suffering from not using body glide/chamois buttr. I thought since I have not chaffed yet I did not need it. But since most of my rides are now beginning to be more than 20+ miles at a time and in warmer weather; I have to break down and buy some.

If I don't, I think I may have to have more days off for recovery than I want to.

Yikes it is amazing how tender certain areas can become;-) LOL

You're preaching to the choir.

I should own stock in Chamois Buttr ... I use it for every ride now ... I even carry the little emergency packs in my bag.

I agree. Bibs truly rule all. Although I have a couple of really comfy shorts that I wear too, if I know I'm going over 3:00 it's my bib shorts anyday.

If you can get Bodyglide then a couple of swipes around the "area" before pulling on your shorts/bibs will practically guarantee a chafe-free zone.

I swear ... I had no idea just how comfortable bibs are. Because I sweat a lot I'm susceptible to the odd chafe or two ... but not with bibs. Absolutely the best bike purchase I've made this year.
