My goal for 2014 is to add strength training three times a week in addition to my 30 minute walk. I have five pound weights and resistance bands to help me tone the saggy biceps. I have a few videos that will help me tone my abs and legs. I hope to lose my last 30 pounds and convert some of it to muscle.

I have decided that one of my long term goals is to have a good 7-8 hr uninterrupted night's sleep. One where I dont wake up in the middle of the night because my brain wont turn off. One where I dont have to take sleep medication to get to sleep. I've been struggling with insomnia for a long time. This would be a wonderful thing to accomplish!

That doesn't sound silly at all! Those are hard to do. Are you practicing on the wall doing wall push-ups? This will really get your shoulders in good strong shape - I'd do this as the first step if you aren't already. When it becomes easy for you - move further away from the wall with your hands further apart ... harder than you would think.
Good luck in reaching your goal and let us know when you do! Blessings. Sunny
These are some really neat goals everyone! Way to go for sharing because doing so will help us reach our goals by accountability. If we have told someone, we tend to stick with it better and ultimately reach our goals. Anyone else care to share your goals with the group? It can be about anything. Have fun!
My first goal I've already surpassed which was losing a 100 lbs. My second goal will be to keep it off and stay on track with my protein. My third goal will be to try and save money for a lower body lift (?) which I don't believe my insurance company will pay for. Lastly is to do everything I can that I was too obese before to try.

Right now, mine are to: 1.) Maintain an average of 2.5 pounds per week weight loss until I get to April 29, 2011. I will be under another number in the hundreds place, and I will be far happier with my body. My reward for that will be a makeover. Haircut, colored, manicure, pedicure, and so on. 2.) I have been waiting to reach my 100 pound weight loss mark from my surgery, and I am 10.5 pounds away. My official weight at my surgeons office is 117.5, but I am counting from surgery. My reward for this will be a full body massage. 3.) Get in 5 hours a week of cardio exercise and 2 of strength training. I don't really have a specific reward for this, but to me the number going down on the scale the way it is supposed to and my clothes getting bigger on me are rewarding enough. 4.) One goal I have outside of weight loss is saving money. I need to be putting some money away for a rewards fund so I can go do my rewards when I earn them. My goal is to save $200 in the remainder of the year, which puts me at saving $50 per month (including September).
I have more goals, but this is a good start. Anyone else want to join in?
Maintain my weight, help who I can on their healthy journey. Enjoy my new life try new things or things I could not do because I was so obese. I am retired I do do some volunteering and enjoying it will do more.

I want to lose the last 20 lbs of weight I need to lose by using my new Nordictrack stationary bike and using my Jillian Michaels iFit programs. Going to use level 1 for 8 weeks and then go onto level 2 and 3. My other goal is to RETIRE by next year at this time. I have 34 years of service in today where I work!!!! :) Am getting bills paid off so I can sit back and enjoy retirment, maybe find a part-time job doing something fun and volunteering more of my free time to our Humane Society in our town. They can use all the help they can get, whether volunteering for the spay-neuter programs or fundraising. Brenda
