DH makes a 100 calorie waffle for me . .
that with a 3 ounce sausage patty (also home made)

I had a protein smoothie again this morning, threw in some seedless grapes because I found I no longer have a craving for them.

Have you noticed that certain food items come and go in one's food plan. I guess you just get tired of them or I don't know what?

Didn't feel like a smoothie today so I boiled a big baking potato, and diced up 1/3 of it in a frying pan, added diced up onion, when browned, I added 1/4 cup of egg substitute, sliced up a tomato in it, and put in about 1/2 tbsp. of gorgonzola cheese and topped it with the shredded Mexican cheese. It was worth each and every calorie.

made a protein smoothie, but decided to get rid of about 1/2 cup of grapes and threw those in along with banana and strawberries. It was delicious and gave me some needed protein

This morning I added in a little of one of those specialty drinks you see over in the section where they have NAKED juice. I tried the blue machine one, but after reading the ingredients although it has an abundance of vitamins and minerals, none that were that important to me, and the protein was very low -- which is my main reason for using them.

But I found one called Bothouse Chocolate (I think I spelled it correctly) that features 16g protein, the caloric count is more than I want, so instead of consuming 8 oz., I just use 4 oz. so it still adds to my protein count, it's delicious and I cut down on the protein powder -- all in the name of variety. It makes a wonder protein smoothie for me in the morning when I add in my coffee (decaf), almond milk, and about half a banana.

Did a little switch today. Had a shredded potato patty, scrambled eggs with a bit of feta cheese inside it, and 1/2 cup of cottage cheese. Quite good.

Shortly before lunch I had a 1/2 slice of sourdough bread with a slice of American cheese on it.

Tried a new drink (Naked blue machine, 100% juice) on the advice of my son-in-law. But as I entered it on my food plan, I can't believe he recommended it, and worse yet, that he uses it himself. 40g carbs, and 29g sugar with only 1g protein.

Glad I only bought the quart size, because when this is gone there will be no more! I have a hard time getting enough protein, and this won't help a bit.

Prepping for a colonoscopy, so today all I get is water, or WATER, or Water! Actually it includes tea, lemonade, plain jello (but not red) and I think maybe apple juice. But by the time I drink that jug of water with the laxative in it, I really doubt I am going to want anything else to DRINK!

Compared to today, tomorrow will be a breeze (besides I'll sleep through it all).

I can't get enough summer strawberries!

1 cup sliced strawberries
1/2 cup Almond Milk
1 cup cheerios


And two cups of coffee with non-fat half and half

Seems I eat that everyday and I love it!

Today it's a chocolate/banana/peanut butter protein smoothie. I find they seem to keep me satisfied the longest amount of time.

And the total calories hits at right about 300 with 21 to 24 g of protein. Low in carbs too.

We're lazy I guess, just not getting around to posting -- sorry!

This morning I was hungry for the taste of chocolate, so I used the Fudge Brownie protein powder, 1.5 cups of almond milk, 1/2 a banana and about 1/2 cup of Coconut Flavored water plus a couple of ice cubes. I also tossed in my calcium pills -- my blender grinds them up and I don't have to swallow them. Hate pills.

Wow, you really eat a BIG breakfast, Joyce! Sounds so good. I can't eat sausage and I'm not much of an egg eater either, but I do like omelets fairly well.

I had some strawberries that were about to go bad so I used about a cup of them, mixed with 1-1/2 cups almond milk, and a scoop of vanilla protein powder. So delic! I couldn't even drink it all.

I seem to have lost my appetite, but isn't it funny? I always seem to have an appetite and am hungry for something sweet.

I decided to have something different this morning -- mainly because I was talking on the phone with my daughter and didn't want to turn on the noisy VitaMix. So I made myself a breakfast sandwich, which I used to LOVE! Bacon, 100% whole wheat bagel (thin) a piece of cheese and a bit of egg substitute, which I fry hard -- I do not like soft eggs.

It was delicious, but only for a change. When I saw it was just over 400 calories, I was shocked! My protein smoothie never goes over 350 and most of the time is somewhere between 250 and 350. It all depends on how much stuff I add in. I love to add PB, but it's so high in calories I don't do it often.
