Garage Sales or Second Hand stores are also other places you can check out. I know you live in a small town but, some times Antique stores have clothes for pretty good prices too. Goodwill or any type of store like that is always good place to look when you are on a budget. Even Church Bizarre are good. Checking your local paper or Craigslist to see where they might be. Also if you have like a Swap Meet of Flea Market you some times can find items there too.

also try your city or county "yard sale" on facebook...it's also a good way to sell some of your no longer needed clothes...you know, the ones that are now too big!

I am in a town of less than 10,000. There is 1 thrift store in my town, (which never has many clothes) and theres one in the next town over which typically only carries smaller sizes (from a 2 to a 12 usually. Occasionally you can find sizes 14-18 but not often. Oh the joys of living in a small town. :/

I live near a fairly small city of about 30.000 people and there are 4 thrift stores. I buy at least 80% of my clothes there and have had no trouble finding my size (ranging from 12 when I started down to 4). I have seen most sizes up to about 22 in large numbers. Make sure you are not missing some of the thrift stores that are run privately (by churches and other charitable organisations). I am now in a size I will probably stay at but still rarely buy clothes new other than socks and underwear. emoticon

Our local thrift stores never have my size. In the 3 years i have lived here i have found 1 pair of jeans that were too big and when i got pregnant they fit and barely fit now. :/ a motivation board might work.I think a cheap pair of jeans and maybe a clearance shirt or a cheap tanktop would work. Then once i lose all i want to lose i can have a big shopping spree.

How about starting a motivation board for yourself? This would be for each time you loose weight you find something you want in a magazine and you cut it out and you put on the board. And then put a side a few dollars toward that outfit you would like to have.I know buying a new piece of clothing each time may not be in the budge but this way by the end of the month or 2 month you will have money saved and have a choice of outfits you like. Then you can buy one nice out fit. I love Kohl and you can find a good deal there. The other place is JC Penney they have lowered their prices and you can buy a lot more for a what you use to be able to. The clothes are still the same quality. As you lose more weight you might want to think about having the new clothes that you got alter so you can continue to enjoy them. You can start saving your money by - example lost 5 put $ 5 in a jar toward new outfit.

Hope this helps. emoticon

While I was losing weight I shopped at thrift stores and the Goodwill store for my clothes. I was amazed at the quality of clothes I found there and continue to shop there!!

I desperately need new clothes. I live in pajamas because it is all i own. When the income tax comes in i will get a shopping spree, however, i am in the process of trying to lose weight. So buying an entire new wardrobe does not make sense. I am not sure how to reward myself. I have considered buying a pair of jeans for every 25 lbs lost just to keep me motivated but am not too crazy about buying new clothes while i am losing weight. And i need the rewards for motivation so that i dont get discouraged.
