Just in case you don't see the note from the powers at SPARK PEOPLE... Here is the latest. THEY HAVE RESPONDED TO THE PLEA OF THE PEOPLE.. THE SHARE ON FACEBOOK has been deleted . . . .
COPY::: Share and Save Options on Member Blogs Removed Monday, January 16, 2012
A few days ago we launched a new feature where we added buttons to share member blogs to Facebook and Twitter, with the option to opt-out of having this on your blog posts. We received feedback from members that they were not comfortable with how we implemented this feature, so this morning we removed the feature and option from the site.
We definitely appreciate all the feedback and support our members provide to SparkPeople. If you've been a member for a while you've hopefully noticed we are constantly making enhancements and upgrades to the site to help everyone better reach their goals!
This info was passed on to me from another team I am on:
"This information came to me from another member Through another blog I just learned of a new feature on SparkPeople that automatically added a "Share Bar" to our blog entries. I do not like this feature.
If you'll notice your own blog now there is a "Share" bar at the top of the blog. That means if someone likes your blog entry they can "share" on their Facebook wall!! Who wants his/her blog about losing weight to show up on someone else s' facebook wall?
To delete this "Share bar" feature from your blog do this:
Go to your SparkPage. Click to Edit the page. On the top Un-check "Show share bar on my blog posts". Save your changes. "
Personally,I do not want anything I write to show up on someones facebook wall. Just passing along the info in case anyone wants it.
It might be nice if some people could post this on other team boards so people know about this!
