Good Morning

Brad, it's nice to 'meet' you!

It's really great to see you folks that have kept this thing going for so long. I was heavily involved in the beginning, but only sporadically over the years (and it has been a few!). Unfortunately life is getting ready to ramp back up again, but I am going to try and do better about checking in and giving the well-deserved kudos to our fellow SP/DMBers.

I always do better in writing. After doing the healthy living tango for so long, I can manage without it, but I do find myself not wanting to write down anything that isn't healthy!

I have done pretty good for about a year now, only having a minor slip for about 8 weeks back in the spring when I lost my job unexpectedly. I do interval running most days and avoid all the whites in my diet, sticking to veggies, fruits and protein most of the time.

That said, I went to the Fl run for DMB 2 weeks ago, and took a break from running...and haven't started back! I begin a new job on Monday so I will have to learn how to manage it all again, for the sake of my health.

Its great to see all the success here - congratulations is in order! Keep on keeping on!

Keep writing!! That accountability helps. I have been looking back at my trackers from early in my journey, and, although I know I'm not as disciplined as I was then, it has helped to see in writing that my worst days of going over my calories then were still lower calorie days than my average days now. Time to buckle down and TRACK EVERYTHING. I deal with foot pain quite a bit - I self-diagnosed plantar fasciitis and the stretching exercises that were recommended helped. Hope your foot mends quickly! Lastly, keep a pen and paper with you today... The drugs will likely make your daughter say some crazy things! It's like truth serum ;) Let's make August our month!!

So I reviewed Sunday's post. They say you have a much greater chance of attaining your goals if you put it in writing. I am going to have to keep writing!! Today is a new day! Not doing very well with keeping up with the calorie counter, still slipping in minisized candies, but too many of them. Eating lots of fruits and veggies--maybe making that goal. My left foot suddenly started to hurt enough to limp on Tuesday am after an excellent workout on Monday and I have taken a break on Tuesday and Wednesday to ice and nurse this back to health. I hope it feels good enough to walk the hill climb this am. As far as I know I did not do anything to actually injure it, so I hope it is just a strain. Celeste, my daughter, has surgery scheduled this morning at 11:45 am to get her wisdom teeth out, will be attending her the rest of the day. Hope everyone has a great productive day!!!!
