Road my bicycle 20 miles yesterday. That is the farthest I have ever been on a bicycle. Weather was nice. It felt good to be outside doing something active. And, it felt good to be capable to be able to do a 20 mile bike ride. Shooting to be able to do 40 mile ride by mid-April.

I managed to keep things up over the holidays. I was down 2 pounds before Christmas, I had four family gatherings around Christmas/New Year's time which included traveling. I did end up gaining a very small amount, but it was much less than I have any year previous over the holidays. I chose the healthiest options I could, which wasn't as healthy as when I can stay home and control my eating, but much much better than previous holiday seasons. At the end still down roughly 30 pounds, so nothing I can't get off in the next couple of weeks.

Went out of town this weekend (Saturday thru Monday) to attend my Grandma's 90's birthday celebration. I was in a little town with only two restaurants all weekend, as no one was going to cook. I brought apples with me to snack on, and a couple of bottles of flavored water (sweetener in them is stevia), so I could have at least a few healthy things to eat on. I managed to pick the healthiest thing on the menu each time we went out, which wasn't easy in a town that loves their fried and breaded items and their pasta. I only got in about 5 minutes of exercise a day, and that was from getting up and doing some strength training with the bands I brought with me, but I made it happen. Got home and found I was at exactly the same weight I was when I left. Usually I go up to stay and am up two pounds. So I must have done ok for the weekend. Small victory, even though that means I haven't lost any this week I'm counting it as such for resisting unbelievable temptation and staying where I was weight wise. When I got home, next day I started right back on the diet and got in 60 minutes of exercise. It felt so good to do that!

That's great Brad!! I skipped the gym last night due to storm. I did not stay home and vegetate, I did an exercise video on netflix instead. emoticon

Started Adkins yesterday, 1289 calories for the day. Spark counter said I had 44 carbs though even though I know it wasnt that much! Haha oh well I'll have to learn how to use that food counter better.
Anyway feeling good back on track for tracking food and excerise, and life.
One small victory for Tuesday : ) lets see how Wed goes..........
