The recommendation for the average adult is between 2 1/2 to 3 1/2 tablespoons per day. But don't be intimidated by that.... start slowly
I started just using it in place of oil for cooking meats, and have now graduated to using it in place of butter for some things (on sandwiches, etc,)
I have heard that some people mix CO with mayo for potato salad, etc Apparently you can buy this already mixed, or you can make your own. You can use it in place of oils in your cooking and baking.
Use it in your hair or on your skin as a moisturizer. CO is very expensive here at the one source I found, so I have not used it for that yet. The store had 1 brand at $26.00 for 1 quart (virgin) and another at $16 for 1 1/2 quart, not virgin and it was lumpy - looked funny in the jar. I bought the virgin but don't want to use that on my skin so the next time I have some grocery money, I want to get the other stuff.
Use coconut milk in place of cows milk. mmmm. I love using it in puddings when I do have them (which is not all that often) The cans are very expensive too, but I heard of a place online that sells coconut milk powder. That is next on my list to try!
Even using shredded coconut , it all helps
When you try a new way of using it, post and let us know. We can all use new ideas.
Good luck to you....
