Best lasting chew has been a deer antler - As a baby Csonka picked out a yellow squeak gorilla toy (when we stopped on our way home) and he sleeps with it nightly still.

Buddy *LOVES* cardboard boxes & junk mail. He's super awesome at shredding those things for us. He also enjoys non-destructive toys (like kongs & kong balls).

Sophie loves to steal any type of clothing that I am folding, any that fall, any that she can sneak from my drawer if I open it, any that I am putting into the washer...then she runs with her head held high, just to drop it and try for more...she is the silliest. She also loves when I chase her around the yard when she has a toy or stick. We are still working on her giving it to me when asked...never happens unless I show disinterest.

We live on a farm and my little doggies love to be are little herders. Spike likes to round up are chickens he will run around to get the in there barn at night and run in the barn to get them out. My Charlie are bull terrier likes to pull my garden cart when I pick veggies. and are little dachshund Fonzie likes to go for a ride with my dad on his tractor when he tends to the cows. It's cute to see my dad talk to his friends about his herding dog when all of them seem to have bigger herding dogs

My little bullie loves to play tug of war as well. Usually with any of her toys. It must be a bulldog thing as my other dogs don't do that.

Bailey loves his joli balls..he likes to thrash them at your ankles till you step on them and then he can pull the handle in tug of war..

Gus' favorite activity is laying on me/snuggling like a tiny lap dog...he ONLY weighs 60 lbs...hee hee. He also loves to chew on: old socks tied together like a rope, nylobones, frisbees, and ropes. He is scared of anything he bumps into that moves, skateboards and any toys with wheels, and the vacuum. He is so funny. I am totally in love with the lug.

She sounds adorable. My bulldog loves squeaky toys as well. I'm amazed that some "tough" toys don't seem to last .. like the Kong "airdog" which is a bone shaped yellow squeaky toy. After a little chewing, the felt covering seems to come off and I have to throw it away.

My year old female Kadence love squeaky toys the most. She especially loves to thrash around stuffed toys and rip them to bits, which leaves a mess for me. She also like the rubber chew toys like kongs. Right now her favorite thing is running in the snow and scooping it up with her face as she runs. She is just too cute sometimes.

My 9 month old bulldog , Shiner, loves to chew on ANYTHING! She loves to try to catch our cat who isn't smart enough to try to defend herself. We could be having cat soup one of these days.

Sumo used to love squeaky balls. I would throw them and he would fetch. Now he loves to play with Fido our 8 month old puppy. They bite each other in the legs or face and wrestle on the floor. That wears Sumo out. Fido prefers to play tug of war, but I don't really want to promote that game yet. I want him to learn "drop it" first, in case he tugs at something I don't want him to have. Fido is fearless when he is around other dogs. He takes nylabones away from Sumo. Even when Sumo is growling his "stay away" growl, Fido steps in to snatch the bone.

I have 3 british bulldogs, sampson who is 3 and jessie who is 3, they had a litter of pups xmas time, there were 7 pups, 1 died, but 6 were lovely. We sold 5 and kept the largest out of the litter who is called yogi because he is like a bear, he's dark brindle and gorgeous.
My bulldogs love to walk, they can walk for miles, and they have so many toys they love to play with. They are spoilt rotten, they are like children...

my dog has lots of toys but her favorite is an old pair of socks tide together she can cew on tha t forever.....its so amazong how smart they are...she knows shemis not allowed on the couch so she troughs her toys on the couch when i dont see it and when i ask her later to go get her toy well guess where she has to go to get it lol.....i have in general never met a more loving dog in my life she is just happy being here with us hanging out and getting love tons of love lol....now all we have to do is get her belly to feel better....godd night everyone... and have a great week!

Charlie and Daisy had great fun on Halloween. They wore their special collars and greeted the children at the door with a smile and a tail-wail. Don't you love seeing those funny little tails wag--it always cracks me up. Daisy's tail looks like the Queen of England waving to her subjects when she wags it and Charlie's looks like it's vibrating because it just wiggles so fast.

Cardboard is a favorite toy (and the price is right too) of my old boy, Bo'sun. I love to find nice clean cardboard boxes and give them to him, he takes such delight in destroying them. I think many bulldogs have an affinity for ripping things to shreds, that is why they tend to tear up most toys, especially the soft, fuzzy ones. But if you give them something of their own they can rip to shreds, they are pretty good at learning not to disintegrate the rest of the house! If I run out of good cardboard boxes, I slip him a tube from a paper towel, or a kleenex box.

One time I gave Bo'sun one of the large tissue boxes, and then I went into the computer room. Shortly afterward I heard him barking, a sort of "HELP ME" bark, so I went in to see what his problem was. He had managed to get "High Centered" on top of the box, and no matter where he tried to walk the box stayed under him. Poor boy, he hates it when I laugh at him, but who could help it this time. When I finally stopped laughing and removed the box, he took out his frustration on it and ripped it to shreds!!

How did your bulldogs enjoy Halloween? Did you let them come to the door to see the trick-or-treaters? I had Phoebe leashed to my exercise machine, which is only feet from the door, so she could greet every one without escaping. Bo'sun preferred to stay on his recliner and sleep.

My first Bulldog's name was Butch and he was the apple of my eye. He didn't much like toys but he loved to chew on cardboard boxes.

Butch loves to chew on her nylabones and anything else she can get her paws on. she also LOVES to cuddle and has "selfish" moments whenever I spend too much time reading or on the computer. she will scratch my hand to try to get my attention

Daisy hates to be outside but Charlie just loves it and wants to go out every chance he gets. He also loves the car and my husband takes him everywhere and he especially loves to go to fastfood restaurants because he always gets freebees from everyone. He got free pulled pork from Sonny's, a free hamburger from Checkers, he gets free ice cream from Dairy Queen, free munchkins from Dunkin Donuts -- and the list goes on and on. Everyone finds Charlie to be enchanting and they love to give him things.

Mine actually do not care for rain. They love toys. Louie likes soft toys, he sleeps with them stuffed in his mouth. Lola prefers rubber toys, any of the Planet Dog bones, balls - are her favorites. Titus will be six months old next week and he doesn't seem to have a favorite. He sleeps more than my other bullies. He likes to snuggle and be right on top of you at all times. All three of them love to be outside. In this nice fall weather they won't come in for hours. They like to just sit under the Maple tree in my backyard and look out at everything going on around them. Even in the snow they don't want to come in. I have to really force them. I worry they'll freeze to death before they decide to come in!

What is it about bullies and water? You talk about rain with every bulldog owner and hear the stories fly!!

My first bulldog, MaGoo, ABSOLUTELY LOVED every kind of water except rain. He was an avid swimmer, loved to go to a park nearby that had a beach, and he would go out to the full length of my flexi-lead while I was ankle deep in the cold water, and he would swim for half an hour before he let me pull him back in. He loved his little kiddie pool in the summer, and when I watered the yard or washed the car, he would jump in front of the hose and snap up mouths full of the water. He even loved his bath so much if I said the word BATH, he would trot upstairs and hop into the bathtub. First time he did it I was just astounded. But if it was raining, like the rest of you have experience, "fagedaboudid!!" He would rather wait til spring!!

Thanks for the great stories, aren't bulldogs just wonderful for their entertainment value?

By the way, yesterday we went to a fabulous bulldog halloween party. we should have the pictures up on the website in a few days. My Charlie likes to jump up and try to catch the rain in his mouth. In fact if you even say the word "rain" he goes nuts because he just loves catching it and licking it. But he still won't walk on the grass after the sprinklers are on or after a rain. While it's raining he'll go out because it's fun for him.

But Daisy, forgetaboutit!!!! She won't go out in the rain and she can also hold it in for hours and hours. If I force her to go out in the rain she would ignore me all day because she's so angry with me.

Bulldogs are such characters!

Gus cracks me up when he does that. He's such a big tough guy, but he's a real sissy about water. He will try to walk really lightly, almost like tiptoeing across the grass.

And if its raining, forget about it. He can hold it for hours!!! Will not go outside until he absolutely can not hold it anymore. And then when he's done he will turn and race back to the house at full speed!!! If I don't get the door open in time he'll run right into it!!! Then look at me like "What the hell, Mom? Why didn't you get the door?"

Jinx, how funny. All of my dogs are like Gus and they hate to get their feet wet. When I take them out after a rain they all give me stink-eye and look at me to see if I'm really going to make them walk on the grass. They are so precious and funny.

My bullies have lots of fun...

Charlie loves to play with toys and he fetches just like a Labrador Retriever. He likes to go on walks and loves to be the center of attention.

Daisy likes to take car rides and she loves to play with puppies and little children. She has a treat toy that dispenses little goodies and she loves to turn it over and watch the treats come out and then she gobbles them up. It's her favorite toy.
