I started making changes to my diet, starting with my plate, which is smaller (breakfast plate) I cut down on my meats I eat 1/2 of what I used to eat, replacing more veggies for starches etc! A few tweaks which should help me develop healthier eating patterns! I must say I don`t feel so bloated after meals ! I just eat till I`m comfortable, not over stuffed like before!
I have to modify everything exercise wise to accommodate this foot injury..I have lowered my expectations of losing fast, this will be a very slow process for me, but I have to keep in mind, that by eating healthy and exercising, my body is much healthier, and the nos are going down): Blood pressure, diabetes, cholesterol etc! I may be losing little weight over long periods, but I am certainly doing the right things for this body!
This is your starting point... Where you are now...
No matter what you do, you'll have to come up with a plan to go from where you are to where you want to be! Will you wave a magic wand? No... Will you wave your hands around like a Jedi Knight?... No ...Will you say an incantation and "POOF" it happens? (Ah-La Peanut butter Sandwiches works for me) Not likely!
What will you do to get to your goal! What will you have to sacrifice to get to your goal? Will wanting to reach your goal bad enough, be enough for you or will you have to dig deeper?
Your wishes will become your desires if you believe with all of your heart, with all of your mind with all of your being that you will do whatever it takes to get to your goal! It might be eating less, it may be exercising, it may be joining a gym, or weight loss group! It may also mean extra studying to gain the knowledge to get over your hurdles that get in your way... but no matter what, you must want to change before change will occur!
Your desire for change must be so strong that it becomes the very breath of your life. It must be your first thought when you wake up and your last thought when you go to bed at night. It must be in the forefront of everything that you do!
Your decisions will control the direction in which you travel! If you are able to stay on the path and not stray then you'll be set to achieve your goals... but if you choose to travel to the "Dark side" (Join the dark side... we have cookies?) then your goals will fall further and further from you!
So stay on the straight path... don't stray from your goals! Remember, the more you stray from your goals, the harder it will be to return to your path to your goals!
What does Master Yoda (Master Jedi) have to say about getting to your goals...
"Do or Do Not... There is no try!"
The decision is yours... if you choose to stay on the path and work towards your goals... Great! You have the desire to succeed! But if you choose not to follow your goals and do everything the same as you've always done them, snacking, no exercise, not learning how you can better your life then there's nothing anyone will be able to do for you!
I remember the old saying that my Mother taught me... The Lord helps those who help themselves...
Are you ready to help yourself? Are you ready to conquer your fears? Are you going to work towards your goals?
If you said YES then there'll be no wand waving, magic, somebody else doing this for you... but there will be good honest work ahead, a better future with your family and friends and the great feeling of accomplishment... Are you ready!
Let's Do It!... Together!
You deserve it!
