I'm not a Cedardale member, but I do live really close to it! I am however, I devoted yoga practicer. I adore my facility-power yoga evolution in N. Andover, right across the street from Butcher Boy. (Above Jasmine's pizza and roast beef.) It's very beginner friendly, and all the teachers are fabulous. They emphasis breath and movement vs. extreme movements, and always share modifications for all levels-beginner through truly advanced. Most classes are 90 minutes, but they do have a few 75 minute ones. It's heated, but not to the point of fainting.
It is not fair to ask of others what you are not willing to do yourself.
Good morning, everybody on the North Shore of Massachusetts. We have a great Clipper Rail Trail in Newburyport. You can park for free in Cashman Park and get on that part of the riverwalk which will take you to the Clipper Rail Trail and also to the boardwalk along the mighty Merrimack River downtown Newburyport. If you take the Clipper Rail Trail from the riverside, it will take you to the train station and there is some interesting art along that trail. There are also some rail trails just over the Merrimack River in Salisbury which take you through the marsh which is quite interesting in the spring when the bird life comes alive.
I called PF on Friday, it looks like they're going to be open toward the end of this week (or perhaps the week of the 24th). The new location is in Andover on 28, just outside the center of town in the Stop & Shop/Grassfields plaza. I wish they had one in Haverhill, but I'll settle for Andover, since it's just a few minutes away from where I work. I'll be going every other Monday, and every Friday until the beginning of April, and then adding in Wednesdays once the Wed night class I'm taking is over. I'm still going to yoga at Oxygen in Andover Sun am & Tues pm and barre Thurs pm. Once it's warmer, I'll probably be adding Sat/Sun walks in Riverside to that plan. If anyone is interested in meeting up at any of those, please send me a message!
I'm also interested in a workout buddy! I've been doing yoga at Oxygen Mind & Body in downtown Andover on Sunday mornings and Tuesday evenings, and an occasional Pilates class there on Saturday mornings. I believe Planet Fitness is opening in the Shawsheen Plaza in Andover in January, and I plan on going there after work on the off days. If anyone is in the Andover area, (or Haverhill-Riverside area when it gets warmer for walking) and would like to be workout buddies, please let me know!
