I signed up for this group when I had experienced several gall bladder attacks, and wanted to give anyone who may be interested an update. I had my gall bladder removed five weeks ago and the surgery was about what I expected. I had to stay overnight because I felt quite a lot of pain and they wanted me to be on stronger meds. I was able to walk a bit after the surgery and rested as well. The next day I was home and though the meds controlled the pain, I was very tired and not hungry at all. The second week, I went back to work for a few days and it wiped me out completely. I was told to take an additional week off, which really helped. I still have some minor pain but it's not bad at all, and have had no food intolerance whatsoever. I have never eaten fried foods and don't eat much meat, so that helps as well. I did initially lose about three pounds (yea!), but now I have been the same weight for the last month. Hopefully I'll start work outs again. Protein bars and lots of fluids have helped me a lot.
