I read online about the gallbladder flush and wanted to do it, but the doc I went to STRONGLY advised against it...she said if I had only sludge it might be ok, but I have a couple of small stones and she said the risk of a stone getting caught in a duct was too great...I'm scheduled for surgery next Friday, the 24th...the doc said they probably can do the surgery laproscopically but may have to do the open surgery...I'm not looking forward to it...would have loved to been able to have a natural cure for this...too chicken to try the flush...bound for surgery...

I've actually heard of these flushes. Gall bladder problems run in my family and both my mom and 1/2 sister have had theirs out around my age (I'm 25) and I have gall stones. I'm also somewhat lactose intollerant (doesn't stop me though) but if I eat certain things for dinner I get so horribly sick because of it. (no nausea really just pain, same symptoms my mom had and my sister had) Several people swear by this and have passed large stones some how (even excluding the salts) and have pictures taken of this. There are also a few pills out that supposedly do similar but more slowly, though who knows how true those are? But I have looked this up and still considering trying it sometime when I can get a few extra days off work (in case I do get sick...)
I am pretty new to the gallbladder problems, and have yet to have my first ultrasound. I hopeful that I don't have an infection, seeing as I've only had two attacks, and neither were accompanied by nausea. The doctors at the E.R. did not seem terribly concerned once I told them I only felt pain, no sickness.
If I have stones, I plan on doing everything I can to get rid of them naturally. I've looked into natural solutions for them, and it's great to hear that there are other people who have had success with flushes.
However, I'm going to wait til AFTER the ultrasound. That way, if I do have stones, I can rub it in the docs faces when I come back for a check up and don't have them anymore.

Hi. Here's the one I use, but there are several others on this curezone site.
(put the ".asp" together with the rest of the url -- i tried to edit this, but it doesnt work for some reason)
Here are the other recipes, and there is a HUGE forum with threads about the liver flush, and just about every other ailment. Please be warned, there are pictures of gallstones all over the pages. Just ignore them if it bothers ya ! Try not to read too much into all the questions on the threads - lots of alarming yet valid questions from newbies to the flush, and they are valid, but I'm saying, don't let them scare you. All the recipes: http://curezone.com/cleanse/liver/
I recently experienced my first gall stone attack - I thought I was having a heart attack! The doctor is wanting to remove my gall bladder, but I hate doctors, pills and surgery so am willing to try anything that works. Can you direct me to the information on the flush you use or email it to me? Thanks!

I had those concerns too, but, trust me, this works. Thise epsom salts, which are basically just magnesium, really work to soften and dilate the ducts. Also, the oil (and in one recipe, the drinking/eating of heavy cream about an hour before the oil) serve to stimulate bile flow to push the stones out. If you drink apple juice every day for a couple years, you may even dissolve the stones without having to flush them, but that's a little improbable. The Malic Acid in the juice really helps to soften/dissolve/break up the stones. After my first flush a few years ago, I took some of the stines and put them in apple juice for a couple days just to see (somewhere it says to do this, if one is curious) -- and it really does dissolve the things. It's wild. Also, the size of a stone in an attack may not be very large at all, in order to inflict the kind of pain it does. It may be a small stone stuck somewhere. Trust me, the flush is safe, and works. I'm just a dude who reads things-not a spokesman for the olive oil, epsom salt, or fresh citrus fruit industries ! Also, the flush gets those toxin-filled stones and liver debris out of you- you are doing your body a huge favor by even doing a flush. The curezone site people say to do a parasite cleanse, kidney cleanse, etc.. before the liver flush, but I just do the one-day slight fast, then the flush, without all that, and get the stones out every time with no pain. The only negatives are that you can't go anywhere for several hours, and may have slight nausea for a short time, in which case they say to have alka seltzer Gold on hand. Your body recovers immediately, and everything "works" better, and you have more energy afterwards. I really hope you try it. I have read that people do this in their 70's and 80's even, with no problems.
Hi there again and thanks for the further information, its certainly food for thought. I'm not sure about the bile duct having the capacity to stretch enough to allow a largish stone to actually pass through ??? In the recent past I've suffered bouts of agonising gallbladder pain, - an attack can last anything from 2 -9 hrs....and the longer it lasts the more worn out and exhausted it leaves you. afterwards ...Its an experience , once you've had it you do anything to avoid repeating !!!! So while all is calm there's an inclination to let sleeping dogs lie..... Perhaps also it may be worthwhile to discover what measures can be taken to help keep the bile fluid and its costituants more balanced so that crystalisation into stones is avoided ??
Your concerns are valid, but, I've done this many times, and stones never get stuck in any ducts during the procedure. That's what the epsom salts are for. They dilate your bile ducts, relax the muscles there, (also act as a laxative to flush you out, so that the next morning you can see only the stones, water, and a little bile. ) There are large ones and man many small ones. Its important to also soften them by drinking apple juice for 5 days prior to the flush, or, if you cant tolerate sugar like me, take malic acid capsules and Bupleurum liver cleanse tablets. (avail. at Vitamin Shoppe) The olive oil drinking isnt that bad at all. That's why they pair it with the grapefruit or lemon juice. The citrus also speeds the oil to the duodenum so it can go to work. People vary the doses of the oil, dividing them up, etc... to suit their own needs, but, the only times I hardly got stones out were when i did NOT take enough oil, or epsom salt. (the epsom doesnt taste great). I will say that it is so worth the 18 hours you go thru the bad tastes and fasting. You really do feel better afterwards, and seeing what you've gotten out of you is quite something. Best of luck, and i hope you try it !
Hi there . The liver flush was recommended to me by my herbalist some time ago, and although I got all the ingredients togethe I never managed to get over the yuk feeling at the thought of drinking neat olive oil and so never did it .......I have since read lots of different articles on how the flush may or may not work ....What now bothers me is knowing that the bile duct is actually a very narrow tube that can easily become blocked .... and that can mean REAL problems....gall stones can come in all shapes and sizes from sand grain to one or two large ones that fill the whole g bladder!!!they can also be hard , calcified or soft depending on type of imbalance in the bile contents that has resulted in their formation in the first place .....My concern is , the potential risk with doing the flush if you happen to have stones larger than the diametwer of the bile duct !!!
I too get a lot of gallstones- most people do, but they are also made by the liver and not just the gallbladder. I do what is called a Liver Flush - it involves epsom salts, olive oil and lemon juice. You can find recipes by Googling the info. There are several different ones, and different protocols. Doctors will never recommend these, but they work, and the ingredients are super cheap, and you do it at home. No side effects or damage from doing it, and you really feel better after doing them, too. Curious to see if anyone else has done these?
