Thanks for the idea but I have had both knees replaced. I had a car accident 4 years ago and busted my right knee. 2 years ago I feel and shattered my left knee. I can't stand for a long time.

At the library where I work, the circulation staff has access to chairs, but we're usually standing and walking back and forth to get books on the hold shelf, etc. I stopped sitting in the chairs at all and, because I'm a little fidgety naturally, my step count almost tripled when I stopped sitting down. That's why I mention the standing desk: not sitting at all really helped me lose.

Cindy: good for you! I know how hard it is to keep stepping in a desk job. Is there any chance at getting a standing desk? The switch from sitting all day to standing really helped me.

I don't think I could resist homemade brownies myself. I have two days of tracking but it's easier at home. I will bring lunch today but it's so easy to give in when someone in the office is ordering pizza. Also I am taking my daughter and her boyfriend to Red Lobster tonight for his birthday. Well I tracked a full day of food yesterday for the first time in a very long time. Even being careful (mostly) I was just over on sodium. I had a microwave meal for lunch which threw me over the edge. That was the last one in my freezer so no more of that!

Blood pressure is doing better. For whatever reason though a little stress really gets it going. Then I am feeling all weird again. I go back to the doc in a couple of weeks. I have a test and 2 chapters of homework left in Accounting. Medical Terminology lasts until May. So far I am doing good in that class. I have to decide if I want to take summer classes and how many. I am thinking about taking 2 if they are not at the same time. Since I have some financial aid for it. I am trying to get what I can because I figure I will be getting less when our daughter graduates in December.

I am doing well but down to the last week and a half of this class. I have a paper due next week but this week we are supposed to do a powerpoint based on the paper. Doesn't that mean the paper has to be done first?? Having trouble getting started.
How are you doing with your blood pressure? I woke up with a headache for the second time this week and my DH said it sounded like a blood pressure problem. So I checked it and it was 160/100, which is the highest it's ever been I think. I think a lot is stress over the new job, but I am not doing well on my program here either.

I got up this morning and clean up the house a bit. then went to the dump on my wat to work. Not traditional exercise but it got steps in and stuff done at the same time!
