I think mine came out pretty good but that's because Janey kept telling me to smile for the cameras!!!
I didn't bother with the post race photos...the line was too long and I needed food and water at that point!!!

Angie,
You're not alone. Can you tell the sun was in my eyes when they took my pic with the medal?
But at least this time, there's a bunch of different shots - not great, but that's okay. Suzanne

I saw that this morning! Angie, you're still there!
I went on the surf city web site to check if the brightroom pictures where in yet. They don't have the pictures ready but they do have Angie's picture on the first web page! Check it out!

Angie, congrats on your full, saw the pictures, they're great. Congrats to all the runners! Sorry I missed everyone at the expo and after the race, I'm so bummed! At least I caught a quick glimpse of Jackie and Janey zooming by and ran a few seconds with Anandagirl.

Hey Girls,
It was great meeting you. I wish I could have stayed and hung out a little longer, but had to head home for the superbowl party the family was going to.
I'm still excited at my time and having a new PR, and by an 11 minute improvement no less. I still have just a little soreness in the thighs, but quite manageable - reminds me that I worked hard on this one.
In the meantime, I'm slowing down a little this week to get myself back into weight loss mode, and then next week I'll start gearing back up. Next race: OC Marathon in May - I'm doing the whole marathon this time. Altough, I may also do Race on the Base, and/or the Coaster Run.
Someday, I'll remember to bring a camera to a race...

You all are amazing! I am so glad that I got the chance to meet you all. Angie and Mario, I wasn't using the bike during the race so I am pleased that it went to use. Mario was more than welcome to use it and I am glad that I can help people out. I am happy that it helped you to see him along the race course and bighten all your miles. I ended up calling my man every 4 miles to tell him my progress. I wish I could have stayed at the tent to see you in but I had a hotel room to check out of so I missed you all but I want to tell you all that meeting such a wonderful friendly group of people made my half marathon so enjoyable. I will be back next year so be sure to look me up.

Thanks for the kind words, ladies.
I changed it to say thanks to Janey for the tattoo :)
When I got my massage the therapist said "Are you thinking of sticking with running, I see you got a tattoo."
I let her know it was fake, but yes, I would be sticking with running.

Thank you for sharing. I am no where near running 26.2 at this point in time, but it was really great to read about the mental battle of running.
Thanks again, you have been an inspiration today!

Got my number friday after noon. Didn't have much time for the expo though.
If anyone is trying to find me, current plan is to be wearing black capri length running pants with a pink stripe and a long sleeved pink running shirt, and Reebok running shoes (you don't see a lot of Reeboks at these races), and my IPOD shuffle in towe. #12608.

Glad you are going to make it in time to run!!!
Hopefully we can meet up after the race and take some group pictures!!!
I've all but disappeared from spark as school started last week and my life is already consumed with memorizing molecules for biochem and doing research for a paper about the peanut recall. Ugh. I couldn't get a flight down til tonight so my mom is going to pick up my number for me (bib 11714! yay!) and I'll get in just in time for dinner, sleep and running! Good luck to all and remember, have fun! =)

I won't be staying near the race either. I live in Orange so I'll be braving the traffic and parking on race day.
I'll be hitting the expo this afternoon. I work in HB so I'll be leaving a little early today to get over there before I have to pick up my kids. If I can, I may get back there in the morning on sat, but that's iffy. I've got two b-day parties to contend with: a friend of my daughter's at downtown disney at 11:30 and my grandmother in law's 90th at leisure world in SB from 1-4.
Even though I haven't been able to run since tuesday, I'm getting excited - It's been a rough week so I'm saving all of that pent up energy for the race

I won't be staying near the race this time. I'll be at my SIL's in Downey so I'm going staight to the expo or else I'll lose more than an hour driving to Downey and back to Huntington Beach. I'll spend the day at the beach before heading out to Downey. My kids are running too so I'll have them with me.
It sounds like a crazy day with the road trip but I'm excited so it'll be fun. I'll just have to get to bed EARLY!!

Hi Everyone, I was wondering if there was a time frame to meet at the Longboard? I'm leaving early Saturday from AZ and driving straight to the expo and I don't want to miss you guys. I'm thinking I'll arrive at the expo around noon, walk around and I can be at the Longboard around 2pm. Is that too early? I can go later no problem, just wondering.

Hey, I had an idea. Why don't we bring our previous HM metals to show off? It would be kinda nice to see what other races offered in the way of metals. Tho, the longboard metals are the coolest ever! Unless that sounds too dorky. Just a thought. Or if anyone already has a California Dreaming Jacket, I am dying to see what it looks like! Denise See y'all Saturday!
