Hello everyone. I am new to spark. I have found so many interesting things on this website. It is overwhelming sometimes. But it is nice to learn new things everyday.
I am from Alsip, IL.. I am 40 years old, married, and have a 2 year old daughter. I have always been heavy.. I have tried tons of diets.. I lost 100 pounds on Atkins in 2005 and a year later gained it back and then some.. I want to lose 125 pounds. When I gave birth to my daughter, I weighed in at 323 pounds.. I am currently 275 pounds but need to really be at a healthy weight. I want to enjoy my baby girl growing up.. I want to be more involved in her activities and not sitting on the sidelines watching. I want her to have good habits.. grow up healthy.. enjoy life and not be miserable and overweight like I am. I want to find a few buddies that I can rely on and we can support each other. I tried doing weight watchers in Oct 2011 and quit a few weeks ago. I only lost 37 pounds.. but in the beginning it was great.. every week a loss. then gain..gain..loss..gain...loss..gain gain.. etc. Plus I was going with a buddy which acutally wasn't good b/c we did not really support each other. We looked to every week going to a meeting and then out to eat afterward. More of a social event once a week then learning about weight loss.
I am the first to admit that I am lazy and don't know how to start an excercise program. I spend any free time with my daughter and by the time she is in bed, I sit down and watch tv and then off to bed. I know what I have to do.. but how do I get started??
