Good for you for taking the first steps to a healthier lifestyle! Those cola calories sure can cause havoc on otherwise good intentions. Hopefully it's a habit you can kick and never go back to. Be sure to eat small meals throughout the day to help keep cravings at bay. I'm looking forward to seeing your progress here on sparkpeople... good luck!!

I am 40 years old. I have three kiddos 18(m), 15(m), and 6(f). I was relatively fit and in good shape until after each pregnancy. After the first I was able to drop back down to only 15 lbs higher than pre-pregnancy(135); however, I felt better at that weight(150). I got within 15 of that weight(165) after the second and then yo-yo'd until my third. I actually lost 10 during that pregnancy and ended at 230. For the last six years I have fluctuated between 220 and 240 for seemingly no reason. My diet never has really changed and I dont eat a lot of junk food; however, I have drank ALOT of Coke in my day. About a week ago an old friend from FB asked if anyone wanted to join a group. I asked what the group was about, and it turns out it is fashioned weightloss program that they developed based on peer support, a point system, and changing to healthy habits. I joined! To help me track fitness, water intake, and calories I searched the internet. I found Spark and immediately joined up. It pretty much matches exactly what my FB group, but they add making sure you get daily fruits and veggies, cardio 6 times a week, and strength 2 times weekly.

I have a lot to loose so I am thinking the more support the better. My son will be graduating USMC boot camp in mid to end April. I want to show him that I have made positive choices in my life too.
