Last year I wore my heart rate monitor a couple of times to see how many calories I burned while shoveling. I was pleased with the results, which I now have forgotten, so this topic has made me want to try it again.
What I do remember is deciding - Oh, I just need to burn a few more to make it to "X hundred." and nearly did the sidewalks down the whole street. It became its own monster! Just another hundred, just ANOTHER hundred. It was pretty funny by the time I finished, and I was exhausted!
