Wow, this is a really motivating thread, compared tomany that I have been reading. You all are giving this your best--addingit to other workouts. I am so impressed by others from my state, you all make me feel proud.

Personally, I was hurting myself and making some ofmy situation worse. Of course, our recent weather also had a hand in that as well, but common sense told me that when the video had me balancingon my back orworking out my bionicknees,it was timeto step back.

I have gotten in my cardio each day and I have tried somenewthings, so I feel like I'm making new gains--unlike the things I just read about, but on my level.

Keep posting, this is so good to read--I know what I'm going to do for the holiday today.

Take care of those healthier bodies,

I'm still keeping up with it. It seems to be getting better, but some things are still tough, like the leaning on the ball lifting your leg and making circles. I guess my hips/thighs/butt aren't that strong. Oh, practice makes perfect, right?

Yep, I'm still doing the bootcamp. You are right about the videos being short, but definitely packing a punch!

Is everyone still doing the boot camp? I haven't missed a day yet, even tho I had to force myself at 7 o'clock one night to do it. I am amazed at the changes in my body since I started doing it. Even bending over to pick something up isn't a chore anymore. I am starting to feel better and move better, more limber. What does everyone else think of it?

My muscles are starting to feel the burn. How about you guys? I love that the videos are short and sweet, but they do pack a punch. Today's did something in my back. I agree with someone about hanging out in that one pose where you just lay on the ball with your hands touching the floor over your head. That was a nice relaxing streach, it could have lasted longer!

I then did about 15 minutes of hard Wii Fit stepping and another 16 minutes of Wii Fit Boxing. Boy was I sweating after all that!!!

Looking forward to tomorrow and wondering how I will fit it all in. My daughter goes to preschool at 9am, then take my son to playgroup right after, then run a couple errands then make dinner for kids and hubby before I go off on a Girls Night Out....hmmmmm I guess I'm getting up early emoticon

I have joined this challenge and I do love it! It's great to get that little extra bit in and it takes just a few minutes of my life! Granted, that's on top of the 2 hours I spend at the gym and on top of the other 30 minute video I do, but I still love it!! Great little work out!

Hey everyone! I joined the challenge as well. I'm looking for buddies in the Bloomington-Normal area to motivate and potentially workout with. I love the quick videos. If I can't give myself 10 mintues each day... I need to repriortize. Once I get going with the videos, I'm ready to keep going with my 30 mins of cardio.

Hi Ill. Sparkers!
My name is Lissa (28 yrs), from LaSalle County, IL.

I joined the New You Bootcamp. I LOVE it. 10 minute videos are the way to my heart!
But if you join, be warned about the 30 emails a day! I opted out of notifications and just get on the group every morning for the videos they would send you, but with those videos also comes every single new topic post from members! So I just get the videos myself.

If there is anyone from the LaSalle/Peru area interested in doing some walking a few nights a week, send me a message. Of course, I will be more motivated do it when the weather hits 50 degrees, but a getting to know a new walking buddy never hurts!

Have you signed up for the bootcamp yet? If so, go to the team site. Scroll down until you see the day's plan from CoachNicole. It'll say something like New YOU bootcamp Day 4 Workout.....Click on that, the video is there.

Three days in a row for aerobic exercise in addition to the New You workout! Yeah! After a week or so of this I will feel much better!

I don't have a stability ball. Yesterday, for the wall exercises, I used a pillow behind my back. Today for the upper body, I used a large Rubbermate container full of clothes that was the right height and put a pillow on top to cushion it when I laid back. It was a modification, not as difficult as balancing on a ball, but it gave me a good workout. I can't afford a ball or anything right now (after Christmas funds are limited), so I'll just modify the exercises for now. At least I am doing them!

I joined as well. I was hesitant at first thinking it was going to be really hard, but decided to go ahead and do it when I looked at the first video and though, "you know what? I do that kind of stuff and what the heck!"

Good idea to support each other locally. With all the thousands in the group it will be nice to talk to some local yocals in the midst of it.

I haven't done todays yet. I saw that it was mostly dumbell work so I made myself some. I filled two 16 oz water bottles with sand and packed them down (almost 32 oz) then trickled water in. I'm not sure how much they weigh because my Weight Watchers scale only goes a little past 35 oz. I sealed the lids on with Gorilla glue, too. So, I made myself two pound weights. I needed to do something with that extra sand from the landscaping. emoticon

I'm looking forward to the workout later today after they dry. In the meantime I guess I'll workout with a DVD or the wii

I am participating. It's a good jump start. Actually, it makes sure I do at least 7-10 min of exercise everyday and it starts my day off well.

Good luck to all.

Hi again,

I debated on signing up for the boot camp, but so many others are doing it that I didn't want to be left out. I am disabled after two back surgeries along with osteoarthritis of most big joints, multiple surgeries, fibromyalgia and a few other. I am afraid that I've bitten off more than I can chew. I am going to give it my best effort and Im also going to follow the guidelines that I have gotten from my neurologist and my rheumatologist.

I'm woshing you the best of luck--and I'll be back with questions and comments. Take care, Sylvia

Hi there,

Are you participating in the Boot Camp? Let's support our neighbors from the Land of Lincoln in this activity. Talk about your expectations, your worries, your needs, your successes, etc...

Let's help each other out to become more healthy and strong. This is the most awesome gift to give someone. It's also another great way to get to know each other and that can't be beat.

Good luck, fellow Illinoisians!
