I too am returning to give it another go. The hardest part of being strong willed are the times when there is room for improvement. I keep reminding myself to be pliable... adaptable... open. If what I was previously doing was working, I wouldn't be at Spark People. But what I was doing WASN'T working. I need to do something different. I stopped silently arguing with the SP tracking tools and boom.... weight is coming off. Good luck!

I've been on Spark several times but I always give up because I'm stubborn and want to do things my way. I'm very independent and it's hard for me to admit that I need help, but I do. I've been overweight since I was about 15 or 16 and I'm about to turn 30. The breaking point for me is when I went to try some pants on today and found that I'd gone up yet another pants size. That's it, no more. Time for a change!

Hey Everyone! I actually just joined SP today and I'm really excited! This is the first time I've actually been logging my progress in my weight loss journey. When I was 17 I lost around 50 pounds, but after I hit that milestone I relapsed back into my old ways and here I am again...22, at my highest, and at a breaking point. Hopefully being on this site and talking about my progress with people will hold me more accountable.

I have put off losing weight for too long. I wanted to be at 200 by end of 2013 but missed it by 18 pounds so I joined Spark to find people to help keep me motivated and to motivate others. Some days it is a battle to do anything because I want to pile up in the bed and stay there but I have been more active this week than I have in several months. I figure any movement I can start with is better than not moving. I also started cutting back on the amount of food I eat. I have not kept up with my calorie, fat, and etc intake but that will change since I am here. Good luck to you all!!

One of my favorite sayings is It is what it is. This helps me deal with a poor choice I made or if my plans do not work out as planned. I mean really why stress and worry over things that already happened or didn't happen. Just move on forward and don't look back.

I am close to Pana EJARMAN and I too have been hit/miss. I am now trying to concentrate on HEALTHY eating--not the best time of year for that! I am trying to not be tied to my scale and make positive choices and know that this is a long haul.

OK I have not really ever done much on message boards so will give it whirl. I live in Central Illinois where right now sleet is lovely and I really have to go mail a package-UGH. I need to lose the 14 pounds I gained back from the 20 I lost a few years ago---wasn't watching what I ate. I remembered a friend talked about this site a couple of years ago so decided to try it as WW is out of my budget right now. So far I have enjoyed it and look forward to what is ahead.

Hi.

My name is Kori. I'm new to this program. I've been trying to get into working out regularly, but I can't seem to do it. I think what is missing for me is the accountability factor, but I'm broke and in a wheelchair, so I don't have the luxury of going out to a gym, so I'm stuck working out at home. I'm hoping this will be what does the trick.

Hey everyone!!!! My name is Kim. I moved to IL last year in May. I came back here from Arkansas to marry my blast from the past :) We are getting married June 23rd in Panama City. I live in White Hall IL. I am a CareGiver. I have two children: Caleb and Ali.
As for my story it is pretty complicated to say the least. Basically I had a really tough childhood and adolescence. I have been on my own since 15.
I am about to graduate college & I absolutely love my life.
The reason I am so focused on my weight is because in 2007 I was in the 200s and I promised myself I would never go back. So now I have a top out weight which is 160.

ANYWAY!! I wont bore you any longer :) Please feel free to share your story as well. We cannot wait to hear about you.

Hi -

I'm new to this program. I lost my job which I went back to school for, in 2011. I have been underemployed (as in not even doing what I went to school for, but luckily have some minor "grease monkey" work for a local bicycle shop) since then. I'm overweight and I hate exercise. I had kidney problems for a long time which seem to be ok with the help of a restricted diet. I'm supposed to eat like a vegetarian with the exception that I can eat eggs and fish to my hearts content as well as a serving of chicken once a week. If I exercise its because I decided to go all gung-ho one day and walk 7 miles; but then I can barely move the rest of the week emoticon . I'm good at walking till I drop, but I don't know how to pace myself. I know I'm depressed which never helps and I know I have the worst time sleeping at night. I worked 3rd shift for several years and have never seemed to be able to get out of that pattern. I too need help. If nothing else maybe if I start losing weight and keeping with it then other things will start giving way. I hope everyone else is able to use this site and turn their lives around also.

I'm 48 years old and I live in the northwest suburbs of Chicago with my boyfriend and my dog. I commute to downtown Chicago for my office job.

I've been tracking my eating on SP since the end of August. I've lost 13 pounds since then, thanks to the tracking and since I started brown-bagging my lunches.

Hi - been with Spark since August, but it seems like I have dieted most of my adult life. I have been a retired teacher for about 2 years. I like the support Spark gives me. Have a ways to go, but I feel positive about not expecting to lose all the weight I need to by yesterday. Live in the Chicago suburbs and enjoy my granddaughters.

Hey everyone! I've been on SP for about 2 weeks now and am loving it! I'm (almost) 34 and a marired mom of two boys with an extremely hectic schedule. I live in the Quad Cities area. I've been overweight since junior high and have tried losing the weight for about that long. Things didn't really start clicking for me until July 2011 when some switch flipped and I started reworking my issues with and attitudes toward food.

With SP I thrilled that the focus is on a healthy lifestyle and a community. I'm coming off of using another online weight loss program, which, truth be told, helped me lose about 25 pounds but I was in a vacuum. I didn't have anyone else to help motivate me or for me to hope I could motivate (unless I wanted to pay for weekly meetings). In the two weeks, I'm down 3.8 lbs! Woo hoo! I'm so excited to be on what feels like the last train that I'm going to board on this lifelong journey and thrilled to have all of you here too!

Life isn't about finding yourself. It's about creating yourself. ~ George Bernard Shaw

Hi, I grew up in the very small town (village, shall we say?) of Kinsman, IL. I now live on the south side of Chicago in the Pullman neighborhood. LOVE Chicago!! I was definitely not a small town person. My brother and his wife sent me the link to Sparkpeople in 2008/9ish. I don't remember exactly. While not always consistent about using Spark, I have learned a lot! This year, 2012, I became totally focused and have lost 30 lbs since January. I haven't only lost weight, but I've gained muscle, which I think is what I had been missing in the past.
I've started running, watching my portion size, and feel much healthier overall!

Healthwise...things are going great! Professional life....things are going well, though I'm going to look for new position that gets my closer to reaching my ultimate goal of a curriculum director. Social life....not so good

I joined SparkPeople a couple of weeks ago but will start using it regularly starting today. I even posted my first blog about my journey to a more fitter me.

I am currently a father of two, work as a financial analyst for a large corporation, have a girlfriend of 10 years and mother of my children and am interested in getting fit again (like I used to be in high school or better). The biggest challenge will be scheduling with working full time, and having enough family time and getting stuff done around the house. Temptation and portion control is also difficult for me.

My biggest challenge is not drinking socially and will make sure to keep everything under control. I plan to have everything documented on my page on my road to looking awesome!

I'm definitely interesting in befriending more people to hear about your stories as well.

To The Max!

Putting a *SPARK* emoticon back into this page...haha

I'm a natural born Southsider but reside now in Romeoville. FUTURE HOME (PRACTICE) OF THE CHICAGO BEARS!! And maybe Steve 'Mongo' McMichael!

I'm 36, Mom to twin 13 yr olds and out of shape!! I never had the fat problem as a kid, teenager or even right after I had the twins! I did need to lose some weight and I did. But stress of my Dad passing away, add that to getting older..and BAM! emoticon Goodbye feet! haha
I'm getting there but need a constint push....I wouldn't mind have that Jillian chick on my shoulder!

Make it short and sweet: I love football! Eat fairly well just need to get my butt moving!
Feel free to nag me on my spark page...I just finally after years of on and off on here finished it!!

I choose my ticker because I used to coach youth football...I kid with my boys that my goal is not to be a triple stripper come the 2012 season! (Dbl stripper is over 160 so I deemed over 170 a triple!! hahah)

I am delighted you are no longer in the unhealthy relationship. I have been there and done that, so I understand how easily one is taken in. I would not consider yourself at your worst now........you have left the person who caused you so much pain and grief.

Now, you are starting a new life and a new you; how much better could that be.

I am so happy for you and am here if you need me. Yes, I agree; we ALL CAN!

Hey everybody! My name's Ashley, and I live in Rock Falls. I just graduated college and have a received a job offer from Genesis Medical Group in the Quad Cities. So may potentially move that way when possible.
I was always the "bigger" girl all through grade school up until High School when I became really active in sports. Then I was in a relationship that wasn't healthy for me, and now it has me at my worst. I've recently moved back in with my mom, and am getting back on my own two feet with a new life and a new me!
I'm very determined to do this, and I believe we all can!

It's a new life, and a new me!

Howdy!
I'm Paige, I just joined today.
I'm a college student attending Richland Community College on my third year; I hope to transfer to Western University to complete my geology degree within the next couple years.
I'm a rockhound and animal lover of the worst kind, I also work as a karate instructor every Thursday. I live with my parents and little brother (13) on a farm with all kinds of animals

As far as weight goes I've always been chubby from my youth; but that's to be expected with an almost complete hot dog diet until i was 8.
I'm 21 (22 as of next friday) and am finally getting serious about losing weight.
I'm high risk for diabetes and am tired of buying 1x or 2x clothing, so this is a necessity as much as it is a want, i've already cut back a lot on my portions and am eating more variety for my meals. (still can't get myself to eat a salad though)
I've been getting decent exercise ( Karate and dance, walking when I can) but can always do more. Its a slow process but i'll just take it one step at a time :)

From Tremont, IL. Married w/ Children. Working full time and going to school with little time just for me, until now. I have always said I will take care of myself or put myself first when "thus and thus is over or when so and so was squared away." Well it always seems to be another situation or another person who needs something. I finally said enough and that it is time for me. If I want to be around to care of others, I have to take care of myself first. I have never lost all of my weight from each of my children, the youngest being 9 now. Here I sit at 220 lbs and considered obese (as per this site when I created my profile). WOW what a great confidence and ego booster seeing the word obese along side your name. My goal is to drop 60 lbs by this time next year. Not sure if that is a realistic goal or not but that is what I have in my mind. Hubby and I have joined a health club and have changed the way we have been eating. Nothing drastic and nothing all at once. We started with stop drinking the soda. We have also gone to more chicken and fish and less red meat. Lots of yummy veggies and fruits. Found a fantastic blog with vegan desserts. You know they are good when your kids will eat and don't even bat an eye to healthy desserts. Also came across an out of this world veggie burger that as our youngest describes as "makes my taste buds dance." Not brave enough to try a recipe with tofu, but I am still looking, once I find one I will give it a shot.

I am from Plainfield, my weight has been on the rise since about age 30. Going out to eat has been my problem with weight gain. I have lost 20 lbs several times and gained them back. My last big weight loss was 6 years ago, my divorce caused depression and I could not eat. I lost 30 lbs without trying! Well,,,I kept it off for 5 years, but this last year I gained it back plus 10 extra. I had too much fun going out to eat with friends and being unemployed I sat around all winter with no exercise. I hit the dreaded all time high of 200 lbs YIKES!! Time to do something about it, so here I am. Biking and walking are my favorite form of exercise and I am trying to stay away from eating out 5 nights a week. I turn 50 next May and would love to see myself at 140!

I am from Aurora area! I found this team on SparkPeople it matched me up with it and I loved the idea of people in my area giving info! I hope to find some fun runs and maybe a biking adventure too, but one step at a time! I hope to gain some friends working on some of the same goals in the area so we can encourage each other! :)

I am from Bridgeport. I need to lose 90 pounds. I am not sure how to find calories on here. I messed up on my first day. Today 2 McDonald's McDoubles, small fries, lrg. coke. Husband is grilling chicken wings for supper, steamed mixed vegetables,, bake beans with homemade sauce ( I use splenda brown sugar, etc.) Will have tea made with splenda. I have only exercised 10 minutes today. Had 4 glasses of water and will have more before going to bed.

It's so funny that I actually found something I can relate to. I always knew that I was destroying myself by what I was eating, but I never understood how to remedy it. These diet plans only tell you what you can't have and "better not deviate or you lose all progress." I thought I would always be fat and out of shape with no motivation when I just happened to see "The Spark" book sitting on one of the shelves of my local library. I picked it out and thought it would be another fad diet but the more I read, the more I loved it. Since reading, I have stopped smoking, started exercising, and started to eat healthy. I realize there will be hurdles as with any worthy goal in life, but with this community, I will succeed. I know it. Now, it's just a matter of time before I am where I want to be. The sky is the limit. Anything worth doing, is.

I have been a member for several months and am slowly finding my way around the system. There is so much to learn! I had always been physically active, ate carefully, and kept my weight in good control, so it was with some shock, one year ago, to find myself needing an emergency 5 way bypass. Now I am finding that a stricter diet, more excercise, and overall better health habits, I cannot lose the last ten pounds that seem to want to hang around for the ride. I am getting discouraged and now is the time to seek support from others who may be in a better position to give it, any suggestions are very welcome. I am glad to meet you all and to be a new member of the group. On a personal level I am a retired nurse, married, with 4 kids, 4 grandkids, a passion for birding, and for wildlife in general. It's great to be alive! My daily mantra.

Hello to all. I'm new here and just introducing myself. I currently live in Belleville, IL but we are relocating back home to Chicago in the next few months. I'm a mother of 3 (two boys aged 7, 5 and one daughter who is 3). Trying to squeeze in the time to take of myself hasn't been a priority in MANY years now but that's changing. My goal is to lose 50 pounds and will require a complete life-changing turnaround but I'm ready for it. I look forward to getting to know you all.

Kelly

Ready to start feeling like myself again...

Hi my name is Noell and on my way to turning a very young 52 years of age. A few months ago my labs came back with elevated A1c and my doctor has told me she wants to put me on meds. I know that with the correct diet and exercise I can take the extra weight off and at same time help to lower my level without meds. So now the challenge starts. emoticon

Hi my name is Angela I am 37 and just had my 1st child a couple years ago and before I had my son I had issues due to dual hip replacements and now that I have had him I am ever more over weight I loose some then gain it all back it has become a fighting battle! I moved out to Illinois from California and don't know anyone so it is hard for me to get out there and motivated, when I lived in California I would go walking and do stuff with friends and well the weather was more friendly to us out west.I am really tired of having the extra pounds and would like to get rid of it not only for myself to feel better but also so I can enjoy running around with my son! It is taking me a little bit to get going on here I have had a lot going on since I signed up but I am ready to get focused and fit :)

Hi, My name is Mary,

I am new to all of this, as I see we all are at some point. In Nov of 2009 I had a virus that left me an insulin dependent diabetic, litterally overnight. Last July, I was also diagnosed with Celiac disease. I'm pretty sure the virus that made me a diabetic also made me Celiac.

I first signed up for this site some months ago at the advice of my dietitian, but became very frustrated due to the Celiac stuff. Now I'm starting to get the hang of it.

I am 60, live in Fox River Grove, have 3 sons and 11 grandchildren. I work in the financial industry (different aspects) and love it. Plus my husband and I have a web store where we sell (on line only) designer toilet seats.

I am not particularly "overweight" but would still like to loose about 20 pounds to get back to "my fighting weight". Some years ago they put me on a medication that put alot of weight on me and I have lost all but that last 20 pounds. I think sticking with the nutrition tracker will help me to better control my portions and intake. Looking forward to seeing how this works for me.

Thanks for being there.
Mary

Now that i've had health issues my weight has become a issue, I used to run & be active all the time. Now can't really do much, Maybe some depression has set in, but i'm doing the right thing & have taken the 1st in to takeing control back.

Well, I can't say that I've struggled with weight my whole life and blame it on mostly bad genetics, but, while I do think genetics have played some role in situation, I never felt like I was destined to be overweight. Don't get me wrong, though. I've never been the skinny mini girl. Oh no! I went from a little baby fat to super curves with puberty. I was at a good size (usually around size 10-12 at a height of 5'9") for my frame until I was 17. When major family issues began to surface and my life began to crash in around me, a major episode of depression set in. While in this state of depression, I went from roughly 165 or 170 pounds to 220-ish in a period of 8 or 9 months. From a size 12 to a size 18. All I wanted to do was eat and sleep; I worked part-time because I had to. In April, just before graduation, I finally saw what I was doing to myself and I knew a change would be necessary. I went to my doctor and said, "Help! I'm fat! What can I do?!" She put me on a low carb diet and I lost 25 lbs in a month. Then, I got tired of eating the same 3 meals every single day and stopped. It all came back on within the next month. Ever since, it's been an uphill battle!!! I lose 20 and gain it back plus 5 for good measure. My highest weight was 250 in September 2011. I am now 234. Still have a long way to go! But I'm trying to stay positive and hoping Spark will be just the thing I need to help me do this and stick with it. Here goes nothing...

My story. I have struggled with my weight since 5th grade, once the hormones hit I started packing on the weight. In high school I was not obese I was overweight but had amazing muscle tone. I did well in college the first time and actually went down a pant size. Long story short had a hysterectomy, ovaries were removed too, and have continued to climb in weight since. I am an emotional eater and have to learn to control that. I need to learn to eat to live not live to eat. I have been on SP for 3 weeks and lost 8.4#'s. That only means 56.6# to go. But one day at a time, one meal/snack at a time. Staying positive and motivated all, ok most, of the way!! My first goal was 10# by the end of March I am almost there, may need to revise the goal to 20#, only time will tell. emoticon

I'm just getting the hang of this posting thing on forums so I apologize in advance if I do it wrong. My story started in high school with the weight yo-yo'ing but for the most part, I kept a semi decent weight for myself. About 2 years ago, I started having symptoms that were pretty severe that culminated in my getting brain surgery over the summer and about 28 days in the ICU. Because of my symptoms I became inactive and depressed. I ballooned to my current weight of 256 and I have got to stop. I just can't accept this life anymore. I am 29 years old; never married; no children; and I don't want to turn around one day and realize I hid from my life because I hated what I saw in the mirror. I want to regain control and become whole again...I hope it starts with this site. Sorry so melodramatic. :) I will work on updating my profile so everyone can get to know me but until then. Best of happiness and health!

Here to us taking it one step at a time and walking the journey together.

Congratulations on you progress! You are a true inspiration...you stuck with it even though it was less than pleasant at first! Good for you!
With all the information and tools on this site, it's completely understandable that you didn't see the SparkMail... so glad you finally found it! :)

I have been on the site since June when my doctor and nutritionist suggested it. I just yesterday realized there was such a thing as Spark Mail! I saw the welcome email that was sent.
The first time I did Jillian Michaels my staircase looked like a mountain; my legs were sore for three days! I moved to the cardio blast work out and after about a month tried the Jillian Michaels again... much more successful. Stick with it; I just moved to level 2 and I am so proud of how I have progressed in my endurance and strength. It has really gotten me to a new level of motivation.

I'm mopey & frustrated and need to lose weight. I'm hoping this place helps. I lost about 40 lbs. 5 - 6 years ago and then plateaued. A month or so ago I started gaining again and I don't want to do that - plus, I really need to lose more. So . . . here I am.

I'm so tired...had a busy day and a long bus ride home after a double header softball game. Coached a double header Special Olympic Softball game in Macomb, IL this evening. The bathrooms were like in the next county, too. We had to start walking to them before we had to go LOL. The games? We split.

Would love to see more of your stories here! Perhaps an update is due if it's been a while since posting your "first chapter"

As for myself, I am so very happy to have taken the weight off and to have kept it off for 4 years. A lifestyle change really does make the difference. I originally came to spark solely to use the nutrition tracker and was hooked to the site shortly after. Tracking my calories became key in getting my portions under control and while I don't track regularly anymore, I do check back in there occasionally to confirm numbers. I do get a little obsessive about tracking fitness minutes though! I like to set a goal each month and love seeing the numbers add up! To each his own!

I had some tingling in my feet and $1,000 worth of testing later the OGTT revealed I had pre-diabetes and was glucose intolerant (blood test didn't reveal it). So this weight is coming off and staying off, it's too expensive!

Just wanted to touch base here and tell you what a great job you're doing encouraging each other. I have just accepted being a co-leader for our team and hope I can be of help to anyone in need. Keep up the great job you are all doing in that line and feel free to start new threads or challenges or sparkmail me. I probably won't post here every day but will try to check in as often as I can. Have a great sparky day!

I'll bet there are quite a few of us out there, taking care of those we love, we can wait. I'm so happy you are concentrating on yourself. If you got to the point of having 2 in college (God bless you) and 1 in high school, you are a success oriented, special person. I know you'll reach your goal, look what you've already done!
Be well, keep up the great work

Welcome MobBoss! Great to hear you made you're way to SPARKS! Lots of great advice and support to be found here. 35 LBS down is awesome! I know how hard it is when you hit that 'hump' so maybe a few changes to your normal routine will help to keep you motivated. I find that making some short term and longer term goals helps me not to get overwhelmed. Track track track...drink water and work you're fitness plan, you can do it! Wow just saying that motivates me to keep trying too. LoL

hi, I am 52 years old live in the Gurnee, Fox Lake area. I too have been heavy most of my life. After my 30 year marriage ended I lost 80 pounds. Now after gaining 60 back I've trying to learn all the tricks to changing my life long habits. I started a new diet plan in March and have lost about 35 pounds. I'm losing the motivation to keep going and stumbled on to sparkpeople. This might just do it

I'm 36 & have had a weight problem since about 3rd grade. I had some health issues & had to stop some of the sports I played. Then never really got going again once everything was resolved (at age 19). I had my son at 21 & shortly after both parents were diagnosed with cancer. Been taking care of everyone else & not myself. Now he's in high school & it's time I took care of myself.

Yo Chicago! emoticon
ok so maybe not exactly Chicago, but close enough in the SW burbs. I am back on track again after just spending nine days in the hospital with Kidney stones (ouch!) but talk about a wake up call! I need to get a grip on my well being, health, weight and well, life. Its time I worked on 'me'. I found SPARKS last year, love it, great support and advice...now all I have to do is follow it. LoL
Yeah I relapsed but kept off the 20 lbs I lost, now I'm back and am focused on my newly reset goals. My biggest problem is neither tracking nor drinking water, it's finding motivation to get moving. Hopefully with a little inspirational help from you I'll get back into fitness too! Hoping you all have a great day.

Hi I'm new this is my first message. I am a nurse for special needs children and I'm new to my neighborhood. Since I moved I have not been able to meet anyone new. It's my fault really I gained 30 lbs since moving and have been totally embarrassed to go to the YMCA, but I finally jumped over that hurdle last week even though everyday it is a struggle. I' am so thankful for this team.

My husband went with me to the Y tonight and played basketball with our oldest while I did my water aerobics. It's not like I don't talk to people, I do. I just don't have anyone to do things with. It's not what I'm used to, but it will change I'm sure. The better I feel about myself the more i'll open up I'm sure!
I'm not leery about meeting people online mainly because I have had a couple relationships and several friends from different online things. I even met my husband online. But I'm used to that sort of thing already. I totally understand.

no friends ? Hey come out of your shell and say h more. Also don't be afraid to get to know some people. I have reservations about getting together at a park or something like one person suggested. But have a super day and a great weekend. Gotta stay positive for your good health.

Hello all :) My name is Wendy, I'm 25 and live in Streamwood (Schaumburg), Illinois. I've been here about 2 years and don't have ANY friends here. I've done that to myself, but also everyone around me has college age children. I've got 3 under 10! I go to the Campanelli YMCA for their water aerobics and I really enjoy it. I get a break from my children and I always feel really good afterward. I have a lot on my mind lately and usually keep to myself so I am trying to break out of that. Hope to chat with you all soon!

Hi! I'm Victor from Villa Park (West Chicago suburb), I'm 35 and I've been on Spark for a few weeks now. I joined because it was rated one of the best by the readers of LifeHacker.com. I must say, I'm impressed by the amount of tools and support that is available through the site.

I've been heavy for a majority of my life (since after grade school). Over the last several years though, working in IT for Kellogg's/Keebler, has been a trying and stressful time, especially when there's cookies and other snacks placed in front of you all day long. In the last 2 years alone, I've gained 50 pounds and I've noticed that my energy level and overall health has deteriorated. Now, I'm using Seattle Sutton's Healthy Eating and getting into the fitness center here at work.

I joined SP a few months ago. I saw a pic of myself and couldnt believe what i saw. I gained most of my weight in college, and just kept getting bigger. I finally got fed up and decided to do something about it. Ive been working at this for over a year and a half and I feel great. I love SP and hope to meet more people with a goal to get healthier

I've been on Spark since I started graduate school on the south side of Chicago back in 05. I've been heavy all my life (and I mean ALL my life. I came out of the womb pudgy), and it never really bothered me or my self esteem, even in high school. Then my mom was diagnosed with hypoglycemia (this is a woman who has lost over 100lbs. and is in better shape at 50 than I am at 25), my dad with diabetes, and my grandfather, who hasn't eaten salt or meat in my lifetime, has high blood pressure. Add this to alzheimers, cancer and heart disease, and I've got a doozy of a family medical history. As the saying goes, an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, so I'm trying to get healthy before I get sick.

Sometimes its hard to take the long view, and I back slide, especially during times of stress. I've lost about 25 lbs., gained it back plus another 20, and have now lost 15 again. I'm hoping to be below 200 by my 26th birthday in March. Plus, I'm starting to warm up to the idea of being sexy in a size 12 rather than a size 18.

I've been a member since July 2007, still working towards my goals or healthier food choices and more exercising. I rejoined this team to keep in touch with people from Illinois who are on a similar journey.
