Slowly I've learned to appreciate it. I found a class and some tutorials very useful!

I use photoshop to more clearly define my vision of what the image I am working on shows. I love the ability to remove, move or clarify in some cases. With landscapes however, I am more likely not to do much retouching.

This is a tool that can be used effectively to produce art and photos. I love it!

I have found the best uses for photoshop are minimal...boost the contrast a little if I need to, maybe play with the shadows and highlights a bit. And crop. As fun as all the other stuff is, it's just too much time and energy.

Does anyone here have Adobe lightshop? I just found out about it (I have been out of the loop for a while) and I'm thinking that might serve my needs better.

I'd love to go back to film in a lot of ways, but have learned to accept digital and appreciate some aspects (especially the learning curve with a new camera - I would not have been able to take 200 pics of my dog to play with film. ;-) )

Good luck and do whatever brings you more pleasure than frustration!

I think I am full up on my learning curve with Photoshop. My DH hates it and I am beginning to agree. My images just aren't turning out right and I spend way too much time on the computer. Oh well, guess I'll just go back to film :-)
