I ate pretty horribly but not as much as I would have. I think I can make it up.

We're having great weather this weekend; son #2 and a friend of ours are coming over late this afternoon for boat ride, barbecue (hot dogs) and an afternoon on the deck.

E Gahd's! I couldn't imagine trying to sleep right now without an A/C- even at night its still around 90* and the cooties would drain me dry by AM.

And I seem to have developed a sensitivity to all Medications now. Even a Tylenol can drag me down for 2 days!

Well, you can have my not very good sleep last night; DH had to leave at 6:00 a.m. to catch his plane to Las Vegas so went to bed at 10:00! I stayed up reading (finished that book) until Midnight or so and couldn't sleep well with it not being cool enough and didn't want to take anything (I will tonight or tomorrow night when he's not here; I don't like to take anything "every" night or even successive) and finally got up at 4:45. Ugh. No chance of napping, the upstairs isn't cool enough at night but it's really bad during the day.

I'm so burned right now- between Blue's Dramas, DH's temper fit prior to the Vet Bill, the Migraine of yesterday, may or may not be due to all of the above (there is a Storm moving into the area), I took Benadryl to get over it and now I can't WAKE UP! emoticon

I have a Greek yogurt to die for but it's new and weird name that I never remember. It's not like the others/usual Greeks. I swear most of them just put that on there but I enjoyed doing taste tests between 3-4 of them and this one is far superior.

Yes, I have burn out too and am trying to get interested again, know just what you mean.

Ah, your in the Obama assigned "healthy foods dessert!" I gave up on the Greek Yogurts without a Coupon. Not really into it anyway. And a Butcher? Only one store and its Old as I am but worth the effort, better quality and they keep small portions for those on the cheap.

I think we r in Burn Out! Nothing really tempts me. Except 2day, my Fried Chicken Livers, with all that was going on- I knew the Hounds would like them too. I didn't eat but a few and now I need a nap! I'm trying to be as Inventive with Cooking as I was when this was Exciting and New- sounds a lot like Marriage doesn't it? emoticon

I think I need a "better" grocery store to find wonton wrappers; we're on the edge of a poorer section of town where we live so a lot of really great things have been disappearing from this store I suspect because not enough people buy them; I can't get my Greek yogurt brand there anymore(most expensive) and their meat is truly horrible/cheap; they don't even have a meat/butcher window, just a long row of pre-packaged meat across from the freezer section.

I'm having trouble knowing what to eat too; last year and the year before summer was "fun" and easy and I didn't have any trouble with dinner but now I'm just not in the mood. Fortunately my tomatoes are doing well this summer so I can ask my husband to make us BLT sandwiches occasionally.

Marog- I've seen wonton wrappers in the Produce? In the Health Foods Fridge case too. U may have to get with the CSR Desk?

I'm up & down all over the place on the Food issues. Some days I just don't feel like eating in this heat or I just settle for a piece or serving of fruit until the DH is home & I have 2 cook. The weight was down to 115 lbs again, but this AM I'm up to 117 lb- those darn Cheese Enchilada I bet!

I don't have much idea on my calories/weight. I am feeling better I think, don't know if it's because I'm eating better or a combination of tihngs.

I went to the store yesterday but needed wanton wrappers and the store I was in didn't have them. I didn't quite know where to look though (looked in oriental section, freezer section and refrigerated, as well as baking and other off-chance places).

OK - good through the week, but bad on the weekend - another travel weekend to help my son and pregnant daughter-in-law move. Of course, moving from a 3rd floor apartment to a 2nd floor in another complex meant that I got plenty of exercise!

Today I have been doing pretty well. We won't even discuss Fri to Mon! I was traveling (Fri, Mon) and then at my family's for a baby shower (Sat) and my parents' 50th (Sun). Their eating habits are not the best - especially on special occasions.

I'm doing some what better and just keeping up with Spark Boot Camp and of course over doing it on some days.
So your the one I need to blame for the Cold front and possilbe Freezing mix thats coming to us next weeK? As for my de-cluttering? Not happening real soon- we just got through 3 days (more on the way) of 60+ Temps! with Thunderstorms & Tornados- very unusual for Jan. in TN. And the Hounds have turned the house into a Mud Hole- everyday clean up! Oh well, burning calories, lol.

Oh, Shell, hope you're feeling better now.

We went out to dinner last night, I hadn't had fish for a long time. We use to go to the restaurant up the street every week, sometimes twice and I could get the tuna or salmon but then we discovered the less expensive, more desirable (by husband and friend :-) pizza restaurant and we go there all the time now, faithfully, every Tuesday night. So, I often don't get to see my expensive seafood place even once a month! I had a wonderful blackened tuna and lots of homemade veggies (steamed broccoli, cauliflower, carrots; and creamed spinach; and fresh green beans cooked a long time with onion and bacon; fresh cut French fries with the skin on and not greasy or "fake") and I didn't drink too much and felt great and slept well/enough, etc.

We didn't have rain last night like we were supposed to (possibly mixed with snow or sleet) and I got my bag of donation clothes and things out to the curb for the charity truck and I'm just feeling great that I'm continuing to get so decluttered!

Sigh, Alone here again- thanks to DH being home with his Sinus sickness, we ate late as usual and too much at once- I feel yucky! So while staying within Caloric intakes, I'm miserable.

I'd watched Dr. Oz the other day or so ago- Blonde Moment. And he called the way I've had to eat for the last few years a "Deprivation Diet", possibly another term for Anorexic? Of course he didn't cover Medical Issues that could cause this type of eating- I think I may go and bring it up on his site page? Could be an answer I need.

Any way, I have committed to trying to eat ALL of my Spark Planned Meals- quite a disaster for me really yesterday. After Benadryl for the reaction at bedtime I'm some better today just still groggy from the med's. How R U?

I ate more last night when we ate out than I had agreed with myself to eat. I was just going to have the spinach salad and a single glass of wine but the salad wasn't as good as it usually is so I didn't eat most of it. I had another glass of wine and then the chicken wings (plain) and a third glass of wine! I don't care for wine that much is why I drink it, so I won't drink too much but that ruse didn't work too well last night :-)

I'm going to the pizza restaurant, a weekly thing we do with a friend. I usually order a spinach salad and chicken wings but the manager gave us a free pizza in a Christmas card and we're going to get that tonight and I'll probably order the spinach too (I hope :-)

I had too much beer to drink last week and am thinking I'll just do tea or water (want something without too much caffeine as I have trouble sleeping because of thyroid complications). But I don't know. . .

Didn't do too badly - a bit over because I have been on a cheese kick. Good thing it's part skim milk instead of full fat!

OK - now I want tomato soup and a grilled cheese!

Staying within one's range is great "practice". Just like anything else, it becomes easier the more one does it.

I was just thinking how, now it's getting cooler, soup is great to have (had some veggie for breakfast :-) and maybe I might replace a cup of coffee every now and then (I have two each morning) for soup instead?

I've been doing both well and horribly this week. I'm in a challenge in another team where I could have gotten 200 points if I stayed in my range all week and I was "carrying over" something to each morning, LOL, to do that but then really went over so I decided I was busted and put everything back to where it belonged.

I've figured out my "maintenance" weight at this high weight; very interesting, pretend you want to weight what you DO weigh now and that you don't do much exercise and find how many calories you would be eating a day to "maintain" the weight you're on now.

www.mayoclinic.com/health/calorie-ca
lc
ulator/NU00598

I find it very "comforting" as mine is way up there, over 1900 calories so even if I "blow" it like this week, I am not blowing it THAT bad, lol.

But last night I ate a couple Pop Tarts... in bed :-) and who knew they were 200 apiece! It's one of my husband's snacks, I very rarely eat them (don't care for them, too fake) so my lovely 1400 calorie day fitting neatly into my 1300-1600 range, finally, suddenly became an 1800 day. That's when I like knowing that I blew it but shouldn't be gaining a lot, only not-losing.

I have difficulty sleeping sometimes and last night was one of them. Had to get up (couldn't keep still so wanted to give my poor hubby a break) and I had a little to eat, just yogurt and a bit of V8, a few nuts. That seemed to do the trick. I was much better last night about eating after dinner; I put aside a "snack" I really wanted for that time and that's all I ate.

I'm having a heck of a time between dinner and bedtime. I'm doing well all day and then I blow it.

I decided to start over on Thursday, along with my doctor's appointment; it's easy for me to think in terms of doctor appointment to doctor appointment (quarterly), and I've done really well eating and logging the last couple days.

I have my quarterly doctor's appointment today but, fortunately :-) the doctor is away so my husband and I will see the nurse practitioner. Much nicer, she listens :-)

But I've decided to get serious again, I've gained 10+ pounds in the last 6 months so I'm going to get that off by Thanksgiving (we'll go back to the doctor around mid-November).

I'm starting this morning with a lower sodium V8, get some potassium into me :-) I might have less coffee too.

We'll probably eat out after the appointment and go to the book store, hooray!

I started off real good. Calories, sodium, fat. Lunch time ate salad-then darn those good tasting crackers. Carbs too high.

Low on carbs. I just don't care for pasta or rice.

On the plus side, made a nice chicken veggie stir fry for supper!

I sort of understand that! :-) I made a salad for dinner tonight and ate only meat. LOL. But later I ate a whole, raw, carrot and just now finished 2 clementines.

Met the calories, carbs, protein, fat, fiber, and calcium.

Not enough iron and too much sodium.

I am working on the veggies. For some reason if I prepare them, I don't want to eat them. Strange - most people I know with that type of 'phobia' feel that way about meat and fish!

Post successes here in whether you ate your 5+ fruits and veggies, got in 40 fiber, etc.; what are you working on and how are you doing with it and how can we help?

I'm trying hard to get water in. It's summer and super important as it's easier to get dehydrated. I have Deerpark deliver 8 oz. bottles once a month and I work hard to run out of all I order :-)

I've been lax this summer with my vegetables; last summer when I was doing so well I had a fresh salad everyday; I haven't done that at all this year! I think I'm going to run out now to the farm stand (my husband's away for the afternoon, delivering our RV to our son and daughter-in-law so they can use it for an extra "bedroom" for guests this week) and then make a small list for the grocery store and get some quality food buying done and start feeding us better (pizza and beer last night)! I've been lax and letting my husband fix us egg, ham/sausage and cheese sandwiches for breakfast each morning and I know if I were to take over breakfast making for both of us, I could help him as well as me.
