well i did my water exercises for 40 minutes and then in the afternoon i did my walking video.
i was trying to slide out of a booth and got back pain. so that is the bottom for me. more exercise !!

I'm off to the Dr. for my six months check up this morning. I had a busy week-end with playing at church and babysitting the nine year old. She and I did some shopping, watched a movie or two and baked cookies.
Spring break this week so the small one will be hanging with me most of the week. Tonight she is having a sleep-over at my house.

The car made it and so did the kid. This is the one who is cognitively disabled and really has to work for everything she gets and she passed with a higher score than her older sister who is a straight A student in college so she's pretty proud of herself.
Went out to coffee with my elderly lady friends. The oldest who will be 90 in September had her nephew from Wyoming with her and she was just busting her buttons she was so excited. She is often depressed about the fact that she has only one son that she seldom sees and no grandchildren so it was really good to see her smiling and the nephew was a charming young man.
Off to morning Mass for lent now.

well i usually do 30 to 40 (45 on t, TH) aqua exercise.
but i really need to add another exercise. i dont like to do stretching because it is too hard to get up from the floor. i can do it but i need to hang on to something.

OK people, you chose........this will be a 4 week challenge from Sunday April 1 (no April fool's joke) till Saturday April 28.
The challenge will be to do either bending, stretching, or exercise for at least 15 minutes for 5 of 7 days each week. We can post our total time either every day or make a once a week total......15 minutes X 5 days equals 75 minutes for the week..This would be the least amount of exercise.
April 1 - 7.......week 1
April 8 - 14........week 2
April 15 - 21......week 3
April 22 - 28......week 4
I will be at the TOPS rally in Saint Louis tomorrow through Saturday so not sure if or how much I can post..

It's eas;y to huddle. Just look at the team stream on the right side of this screen and click on view huddle wall/huddle now. It give you a few daily sayings you can just click on or you can enter an original one of your own. .
I make my twice weekly trip to the fitness center but could use some coaxing to do at least a few minutes of exercise on those days in between. I think an exercise challenge is the way to go.
Beautiful day again today but cooling off for a couple days now. Not nearly to March-like tems though.
My GD is using my car to take her drivers test tomorrow. Pray for her (and my car) please.

Yes, April is fast approaching.
Because of the limits on my time lately, I haven't come up with an April challenge.......have been thinking about 10 to 15 minutes of bending/stretching/exercise per day for a challenge/goal for 4 weeks. Any suggestions?

Just got back from St. Paul MN from my half brother's wife's funeral. It was a sudden and unexpected death. St. Paul is about 240 miles from here so it was a two day trip. All went well, it was a beautiful service and we got to meet many family members we had never met before. I was able to travel with my brother and sister-iin-law

I am cooking supper on the grill---baked sweet potatoes, green beans, and steak.....it is almost done---I sure am hungry.

Both scales are digital and I use the one at home for my official weight as I always weigh at the same time of day and with only my nightie. I just get curious about how much difference there is between early morning naked and midday with clothes. I must admit it is pretty consistent.
yesterday my peanut and i went to an auction at the elementary school. She wanted to bid on an American girl doll and some clothes made by one of the teachers and it was item # 220 to be auctioned off. We went at 2:30, left at 4:15 to go to church and went back at 6:00 and finally were able to bid on her doll at 8:00. I spent more than I intended to, but the proceeds are for new playground equipment at the school and she had waited so patiently for all those hours I didn't have the heart to not get it. I also got two reserved front row seats and a reserved parking spot for her music program next year. That is a priceless thing, as the parking situation at the elementary school is bad.
All in all we had a good day.

Sorry I've been sort of MIA again. I weighed down two pounds on my scale on Monday morning, but up two on the scales at the fitness center today so am not sure where I stand. My scales is in nightie first thing in the morning. Fitness center is at one in the afternoon.

Way to go one the good report, Mary.
I got lots of walking in today at the hospital escorting people. We were quite busy today. It was my volunteer day.
My granddaughter and her dad are getting ready to leave Michigan and should be here tomorrow morning....guess I better get to sprucing up things.
We have set records 3 of the last 4 days. It's almost 8 PM and it's still 78 out. I too have my doors and windows open and the ceiling fans going. I guess some people had their ACs going today.
Not gaining is as good as losing because it means your skin is catching up with your loss.

The scale at the fitness center shows me down 2# today but will not get too excited unless it stays there for a week as it tends to go up and down in the same two pound range a lot.
I have been on the go all day. I started by dropping my grandkids off at their various schools, went to morning Mass for lent and then took off for an appointment with my neurosurgeon for the 9 month check up on my spinal fusion. Great report!! He is so pleased with my progress that I don't have to go back at all unless I have problems. When I had the surgery they had told me to expect to take anywhere from six months to two years to get back to normal so I am over a year ahead of schedule.
I went from the Drs. apointment to home for a quick lunch and then to the fitness center for my work-out so I finally got to sit down and take a deep breath about 2PM. Whew!!!
Now off to pick up the kids.
Temps in Wisconsin are in the high 70's and we hit a record of 82 yesterday. I don't know if this means we are going to have a beastly hot summer or if it means we will revert to winter later, but I have fans going and my windows open in the middle of March. Unbelievable.,

my doctor is very happy with my little weight loss. i got another 3 months to lose more.
my plan to have beans and veggies did not happen because the beans were not cooked enough. well they better shape up ! lol

We woke this morning to a lot of thunder & lightning. A lot of rain & some hail. I don't see any damage, Thank God!!! I am taking my husband to an out of town dr visit. He gets nerve block needles every 3 weeks. We are keeping up our new menu and I hope to be able to get in more exercise in the coming weeks.
As soon as I get rid of my cold, I want to go see my MIL. I do miss her. She goes back to see her cancer dr. next week. I do hope he has some good news. She is a very positive person right now and that helps her very much.

Day 43 of not missing my walk time. I enjoyed an outside walk today with Sally and baby Sarah in her stroller and Spike (boston terrier) making sure I kept a good pace. We did 1.7 miles according to the pedometer. So much more enjoyable that the treadmill but either way going to make this my longest streak ever. :)
