Hey DESERTFLOWER6 I know I need to workout too. Just picked up Jorge Cruises 8 Minutes in the Morning for Real Shapes and Sizes. Plan to really read this book and start this program. Exercises look very possible for me to do - even at my size.

So this week I read and next week I start the actual plan (although I must admit I wont be able to wait to start just need a start date-LOL)

Hello VABCHLOSER I have restarted this week. I had to restart my ticker after a weight gain and post how I have been doing since really looking at my food again.

Perhaps many of our group have moved on in one way or another but I am hoping we can keep this blog going - I know I have to be 'seen and heard' to keep me honest.

Hello! I have been away for awhile and recently decided to stop in again at spark people. When I did this and posted to facebook 3 of my sisters decided to join. I am so excited and motivated.

I am part of a 12 step group for Compulsive Overeaters because I am one. Have had some success and want to really focus on the weight this year. My life is getting back on track and I want to be healthy and live a long time.

Here's hoping the group here is doing well and thanks to those of you who kept the flame alive!

I check this team every now and again. Seems no one posts anything any more so I was surprised to find a recent post, hey vabchloser. I hope everyone that started haven't given up on their diet and exercise. I know I have been struggling, but I refuse to give up!! Sparkpeople gives me a boost and encouragement that I don't get If I don't log on and check things out!! Good luck to you!!

I'm here. In December 2010, got down to 189 (from 270). Then I got back up to 212 recently. So I restarted my ticker at 210 and decided to make a goal of 190. Now working on that goal.

This group is "dying" but I hope it's not because people have gone back to their old ways and forgotten about spark. I hope it's because they are either doing really well, or have found a new site to help them.

Anyway, good luck to you all!!!

I remain motivated because all reasonable evidence overwhelmingly points to the absolute need for remaining at least moderately physically active and I still struggle to control my diet. I have found that working out more days than not is essential to me (5 day/wk).

Hello,

Its been a while since this group was active but we still have plenty of members and I think that most of us (myself included) are still working to conquer our diet demons... So since we started together back in '08 I figured a check in now would be great. In that spirit, I think that a pulse check to hear how people are still grinding away at this and how they have remained motivated would be cool. Think of it like a class reunion! (groan) Please share- self motivation is key since SPARKPEOPLE participation is totally self driven and who knows you may bring a point of view that motivates some one else!
