Can't believe I have been on SP for 5 YEARS!! YIKES!!!

Up and down and down and up, I've done it all!
I've been hit or miss but I've been active again since the beginning on March. Started working THE PLAN at the beginning of march and lost 7 last month.

Having a good time!!!

I'm starting over. When I was first on & really active, I ended up losing 70 lbs. However, a move, an injury, a job change, a position, change, met a great guy, married said guy (almost a year ago), all have lead up to gaining all of it back. Now we are talking starting to try for kids this fall & I want to loose at least 20-30 lbs before that. So, I'm back. :) I haven't had any motivation to exercise or eat healthy in several years. Right now, I only feel only a slight motivation, so I'm looking for that fire I once had to be reignighted.

I'm still here, and back at it as my Polymianga Rumatica had flared up and am still trying to regulate my dose of prednisone. Needless to say some weight gain, but I am back with my Spark sisters and brothers. Leaving for CA to see family haven't see in 5 yrs. this month and don't want them to see the extra lbs. that's a real motivator. I keep praying that the Dr. can find a dose that takes me out of the pain level I'm in right now. I just keep the faith!

I'm back for more. The most that I lost was 22 pounds since joining, but at this moment I have gained 11 of those back. I turn 40 this summer and would like to be 20 -30 pounds lighter by then.

Your day is what you make it, so why not make it a GREAT one?

Hiiiiii!

I'm here. I actually volunteered to be the team leader to keep this thing going since I thought it was so neat we all started on this journey together :) Looks like 18k of us are still involved. I think we started in the 30k range last year...

As for my own personal journey. Lots of ups and downs. Up while in love, down when I'm single and all about self improvement.

Looking to drop 30 pounds by April. Ha ha ha! I did lose 30 June-Sept ...But I do workout 3-4 times per week average and am in decent shape.

Our greatest glory is not in never falling but in rising every time we fall.

Wow, I hadn't been to this forum for a long time either.... Looks like folks have found other forums or maybe moved on completely. I was diligent with tracking and all that when I first started, and managed to get down to 188, but life changes including a divorce, a new person in my life who is now disabled and who absorbs a lot of my time, a different job, and managing home, etc, is just overwhelming at times. I seemed to have stayed on top of things through 2009, then quit smoking, and pounds managed to find their way back into my life. So I'm 231 as of this morning. I thought I could lose 2lbs a week, but it has been more like 2lbs a month. I'm now fifty and finding the fat doesn't come off as quickly or as easily as it came on. But, I will keep going, and I realize even more than before that other health related issues will improve or be warded off if I can reach my goal and maintain permanent weight loss. To all the other folks who come back to visit this forum, keep up the challenge for yourselves!!

I started this group back in 2008... WOW almost 3 years ago. Still here and basically starting over.
Once I am not sick I am going to try doing p90x again with activity in the afternoon.
I have about 30 to loose. But really I have a lifestyle I need to change.

Still here. Reached my goal (slowly, but surely!) and am now going for 5-10 more or so, and then I am DONE! I'd be content to stay where I am at, so not pushing too hard on the 10 lost, more on toning up...but if I drop some in the process, that works, too!

10 push ups is a good start. We had 2 women in my class that could not do any when they started.
Yes, running is the biggest concern. Shoot for 3 miles a day at a 10 minute pace. When you can do that comfortably, you should be ready.

Ugh :( I wish...

I do one day of intervals for two separate miles....one tempo run for two miles (at a 10:30 pace)...and one long slow run. Yesterday was 3 miles - I wanted to do 5, but my glutes were sore from P90X. I think I'm okay in that department, but you're definitely right. People tell me over and over..keep running...and I'm doing the best I can without over doing it ya know? The push-ups scare me the most. I think I can do ten in a row. For sure not good enough. I know I'm going to get a hard time on that. :(

Good deal Michelle.
Before you get appointed and start your official training, the best thing you can do for yourself in preparation is to run everyday. If you can do 3-5 miles a day with little effort, it will make your physical training much, much, less stressful.

Awesome!! Thanks :) Yeah, it's pretty quiet around here. I'm going to add you to my friends.

And 24 lbs is nothing to sneeze at. Every pound is hard to lose. I go in stop and starts...and sometimes in reverse. It's just important we're here!!!

76lbs !!! That's great Michelle. I have only lost 24 lbs since we started (better than nothing. I've got the exercise down but not the controlled eating...I do not always make the right choices but it sounds like you have. Congratulations!!
It looks like most of the people that started when we did have disappeared.

Just curious of those who joined with me - are you still here? What are you up to? How much further until you reach your goal?

I've done AMAZING!! I'm now 76 lbs down with only 28 to go until I get to my goal! I've applied to the police academy (hello - I'm 35!) and am waiting until next week for the results. I never could have done this before...it's a dream to me (whether or not I'm accepted)!!

So, how is it folks?
