Try the number one protein bar in the market right now: www.questproteinbar.com . Each bar has a short list of ingredients and is 220-230 calories, 15g fat, 19g carbs, 15g FIBER, 20g protein and only 2g sugar (no sugar alcohols)! They have them in Peanut Butter Supreme and Vanilla Almond Crunch flavors with new ones coming out in 3 weeks! There is no other bar like it! And the best thing is that they taste soooo good!

Glad I could help you out!

For a fiber rich lunch - I'll usually prep a whole wheat pasta with just basic marinara sauce or bring some black beans to eat. I've mixed in black beans, corn, salsa & crushed tortilla chips together for a fun little "Mexican" salad before and its really yummy

Thank you for the link! I think incorporating beans and another serving of veggies to my lunch bag may be the answer...

What do you usually take for a fiber rich lunch?

Hey there, here's a list of other foods you can add to your diet to get additional fiber. If you find you're still struggling, you can always look into supplementing it - but you should always try to get it from foods first

I find I get a lot of my daily fiber from fruits, veggies & beans (I make tacos out of black beans that are super yummy). You can also buy high fiber breads that have higher counts too.

Best of luck! Hope this helps! OH - and from personal experience, when you up your fiber intake, be sure to keep your fluid intake to 8+ glasses a day and you might feel a little bloated for up to a week. This is normal - just stick through it and you'll notice you'll feel great once you up your Fiber intake

Hello everyone!

While logging my meals I have noticed a disturbing trend, I am consistently under in my Fiber intake even when I have been over on everything else! I realize I need to eat more fruits and veggies (doing better with the fruit), but what else can I do to up my Fiber? I no longer eat a ton of pasta and bread, but when I do I try to eat whole grains.

A typical day (foodwise) for me would be the following:

Breakfast:
1/2 cup of Greek yogurt or oatmeal with 1 cup of fruit (bananas, mango, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, etc.)
A cup of coffee or a hot chocolate (Swiss Miss)

Lunch:
Dinner leftovers or soup or Amy's Organic Frozen Vegetarian Meals... this can vary. I have been trying to incorporate more veggies, but often the best I do is a veggie based soup/frozen dinner or 3oz bag of baby carrots.

Snack:
Fruit (banana, peach, plum, pear, etc.), crackers or chocolate.

Dinner:
Varies often, but usually involves 3-4oz of meat, a cup or two of veggies (asparagus, peas, spinach, kale, etc.), and potatoes or rice or some type of bread.

Dessert:
Frozen yogurt, ice cream, cookies, or chocolate (I can not live without dessert)

Any suggestions?! HELP!
