I am going to try to stay on plan this weekend. I did end up having 2 glasses of wine on Mother's Day. It was hard to just drink water all day. It was a very busy day with a lot of socializing. This weekend will be much more routine.

No change on the scale yet but clothes are fitting looser. It always takes a while before the scale catches up. I was doing pretty good until Easter then there was too much candy in the house. I had given in to the temptation for a few weeks.

I am working my butt off at the gym and basically just maintaining a 130 lb. weight.

I was talking with DH about it - talking about what I did differently when I lost all the weight after my second son. I was counting calories and running a lot. Even though I am exercising like crazy now, a lot of it is strength-building - even the HIIT, although it is intense cardio as well, uses body weight strength-building exercises. And i do feel stronger for sure! Strong, healthy, and fit! But not thin.

So I want to run more. I'm going to start with two days a week and see if I can add in somewhere else at some point - but I don't want to give up my current training - just add to it - and there's only so much more I can do.

Hi ladies.

How is everyone??

I have taken a break from my weigh ins. I was just getting so frustrated. I am working out like crazy, getting strong, and not seeing any change on the scale.

Had a beach day yesterday. I really need to get rid of this belly!

I am going to really concentrate on protein, fruits, and veggies. I always feel better that way, but fall into bad sugar and carb habits. I hope that with that change, in combination with all the workouts I'm doing, I will see some results in my major, hard-to-fix trouble spot!!

Saturday's weigh in was a good one. Had dinner at my dad's Saturday and dinner at my mom's Sunday. Eat too much both days. Will weigh in again tomorrow and see how it goes.

Highs in the 20's around here lately. I wish it would get warmer soon. I really miss walking outside.

Thanks CARINMARIE. I have a number of factors at work here. 1: my mom just stayed with me for two weeks. That messed with my workout schedule and my eating. 2: my youngest has been sick, so no gym day care, and no school. And 3: it's my TOM and that messes with me in all kinds of ways.

But I feel like I can get back on track a bit now. Today was the first healthy day the tiny man has had in what seems like forever, so tomorrow I will get back to the gym. I had a good eating day today, so I hope the scale will show that tomorrow.

But I have to say that even though I'm not feeling on top of it right now, and the scale is a super bummer, I do feel better about what I see in the mirror - my arms are getting toned and I'm getting closer to feeling comfortable in my bikini. (It has been up to 90 degrees here!) So progress is progress I guess, even if it's not showing in my weigh-ins.

I've been having the winter blahs big time. I don't even want to get out of bed in the morning. This morning it was 12 outside. I'm going away for the weekend so hopefully that will help snap me out of this.

Great job JK. Nice way to end the month. Carinmarie you are always so consistent. I'm not where I wanted to be but still down from the beginning of the month and last year at this time I was around 138 so I'm in much better shape than last winter.

I think you are right Carinmarie. When I do the math on the weights and percentages, it looks like I've gained a pound of fat, and the rest is water retention and hopefully some muscle from all the workouts!

Managed to stay around 1500 calories yesterday.

Seriously, WTF? I don't feel like I'm eating crazy or badly. I am exercising as much as I can.

Got my Body Fat Monitor and it is the same percentage it was at the beginning of December at the gym: 25%. So I have been gaining muscle and fat, it seems??

I guess I have to get back to tracking calories and make sure I have that 500+ deficit at the end of the day.

Cutting back on the booze is a goal for me again, too. It is just so many empty calories. Still so hard to pass up though.

I ordered a fat monitor. Same one my gym used on me for my initial fitness evaluation. I'm hoping that by measuring fat and taking body measurements, I won't be so discouraged by the scale.

So much for staying in the 120's. I did try to cut back on the alcohol and I dropped to 1.5 glasses of wine instead of 3. My husband made pasta and I ended up eating too many carbs too. I really need more will power.

That is always the hardest for me, too, MEMEQ - especially when the wine is flowing! ;-)

I am in scale avoidance mode at the moment.

I am seeing toning in my arms, legs, and booty. My belly fat.... ugh... well, I'm hoping to see an improvement there soon, at least by the end of my 12-week mission here.

Not sure when I will be brave enough for the scale again! I just started Week 3 of my workouts. Maybe next week I will hop on there. Or maybe not.

I am working out, feeling better/stronger, and I think I can see a difference in the mirror and in my clothes.
