Good for you! So much of keeping this going is mental and setting yourself up for success. How I set my original goal was the picking the lowest weight I have been as an adult. I knew I could do that since I had done it once before. Now I'm just seeing what else I can do. Good for you!!!!

i also can't wait to lose that extra pound! 140 and i'll be "considered" healthy according to the bmi only because it doesn't consider my immense load of body fat. haha. i can't wait to also switch my program from losing body fat to building muscles! i think that'll be fun! i love lifting weights and toning my body! i just wish i could see it!

i brought the carrot closer to my nose! lol i moved my goal weight again to 130. it makes me feel better! plus i think that's a better motivator since that's the smallest number i've weighed since i was like 12. once i make it to 130, i'm going to have a huge celebration and definitely have a spa day! then i'll bring it down to 120 or 115. we'll see. baby steps are much more rewarding and motivating. i can't believe i had it at 115 at the beginning.

I moved my original goal down 5 lbs once I got close (within 10-15 lbs or so) because I realized that when I reached that goal I'd still be a bit pudgy-looking, unless I became a work-out-o-holic. Now that I'm even closer to my *new* goal, I already know I'm going to be moving it down again. Being short but having a big frame makes it hard to figure out in advance what weight will be best, but I agree with the others - watch out for "chasing the carrot" syndrome and don't change your goal until you're positive you need to.

I agree. Keep it there otherwise you keep moving the carrot from in front of your nose you will discouraged down the road. Once I got very close to my original goal I decided to move it . . . twice. :)

It sounds like you are doing everything right to me. I would keep your goal at 120 for now and if you're not happy when you get there then lower it to 110. As long as you're working out you are not going to lose muscle, as you build more muscle from working out your body fat percent will come down. Keep up the good work!

Okay, so I'm not quite in the 130s or 120s yet, but I will be in a couple of months. I am losing weight at a very healthy rate, consume a lot of protein, do cardio, and lift weights 3x per week. I feel like I don't lose much body fat. I think i lost .05% since last week, but 2-3 pounds. I am afraid of losing muscle. I don't know if 120 is a good goal for me when I have so much body fat. Should I lower it down to 110?
