Many years ago as I attended one of the Bill Gothard Institutes in Basic Youth Conflicts, he said something that stuck with me. If you shake up a can of apple juice, then open it, and apple juice spills out, it's not because you shook it up. It's because the can is filled with apple juice. So it is with our hearts when life brings things to us that shake us up. We spew out what is in our hearts, no matter what it is. From the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks.

Our reactions to the negative actions of the people around us are a window into our heart. When we are like Jesus, we will react like Jesus. When there are problems in our heart, we will react according to our fallen nature. We will be bitter, unforgiving, vengeful, hateful and mean-spirited. Our reactions are indeed a window into our souls. Did You Know? Vic.
