Can, one of you share some more about the beading newsletter and how can the others members subscribe to it, if they would want to? Thank you for sharing. I am very happy and excited to meet and chat with you, every day.

I don't subscribe to any magazines, either. I have in the past and have saved several with ideas I might try. So far I haven't done much with them. But when DH and I take a trip I do look at the bead mags and pick one to look at during spare moments. I, too, get the Beading Daily newsletter. I like to look at the "pretties" but rarely use anything I see there.

I don't subscribe to any magazines. I will take a look at what is available at the store and if something catches my eye that doesn't ring the "I can do that no sweat" bell, I'll take a longer look. I may purchase a magazine if it has something really interesting to impart.

I occasionally go to the library and look at books. I subscribe to Beadily Daily and sometimes something interesting arrives from them. I do sorta random Google searches on techniques and see what pops up. There are tons of places to look!

WUNDERMARY, thank you for sharing, too. I, also, like your idea. Which magazines, books or websites may you suggest us to see and visit as well?

I like the idea that you get inspiration on what you see and that you also make changes and comes out with new designs. Keep those postings coming please and let's enjoy our post on beading.

JAQUANAH, thank you for sharing. I love your idea of the message within the creation and also the meaning you bring into the piece. That is a great I idea I will try later on. Now that you found the way to publish your photos to keep sharing and getting feedback. May you be blessed.

RABBITOLM, like you, I buy the beads I see I like. But when designing, although sometimes it comes from mind, I like to be guided by something, theme, plant or piece of cloth. One time I saw a piece of cloth with flowers on diferent tones of blues, greens and gray. I love this cloth, and bought a piece of it. Then I came back home and star looking over my beads and found many that matches the colors and I did a beautiful 3 strands necklace. Now i am working on the color of an indoor plant my aunt has. It has little dots on pink, the leaf is green and when is getting older it has yellowish. It looks beautiful. I found that Olive jade and pink quartz my work well, but still looking before doing anything with the beads.

Thank you for sharing and keep does posts and pictures coming beading friends.

I tend to buy beads first, then design with them after. :) I don't use thread at all, I much prefer tiger tail and wire projects. I have a few of my designs up on my sparkpage, under my photos. Right now I'm working on some bridal jewellery for a friend of mine. She wanted something in her specific colors, nice autumn topazes and mochas, and of course, white crystals and moonstone for her!

Usually I first have the beads, then think of a way to use them. Sometimes there is a message. In the case of what is currently my profile picture I wanted to convey my Christian witness. I explain to people who admire it that it means "the love of Jesus, the Good Shepherd, and the Lamb That Was Slain." I intend to change the profile pic soon and use a real one of me. Some of you have wonderful pictures of other objects, beautiful or comical, and I enjoy looking at them, but I also like knowing who I'm "talking" to. So look for the real me soon. The ID pouch shown here is square stitch. (You knew that, didn't you?) The only way I know right now to show you other pics is to send you to my SparkPage. You will immediately see the angel necklace I'm talking about here. The angel charms were a gift and I just had to find a way to use them. If you click on "my photos" you will see one more picture of my beaded angels. For those I just picked through my junk beads and decided what I could put together to create angels.

Ha, I am such a mish-mash!

I look at photos in magazines, books and online for inspiration. I will take a technique and work it ad nauseum, working in new ideas along the way.

I tend to buy in the same color families (I mostly work with seed beads) so something new will likely go with something I already have. But, lately, I have been trying to get outside of my comfort zone where color is concerned.

I don't usually do green, so I did here:

I am beading using gemstones. This time I had fell in love with the Rainbow Obsidian. I am mixing them with, turquoise, carnelians and black agathes. I love beading taking into account the mystics properties of the gems, but this one has also a lovely rainbow that gives jewellery a mystic tone, too.

I like to learn their properties and mix them accordingly to their mentioned mystic properties. How do you create when designing and beading.
