"The power of prayer is not in the one who prays but in the one who hears it." - Max Lucado
2/22 Update - Mom has good and bad days. She had several good days last week. However, this week is not so wonderful. I'm pretty sure she has another UTI (urinary tract infection). When I got home from work today her temp was 103+. I gave her a couple of tylenol and it has come down a bit, but is fluctuating between that and 100. She normally runs a low temp. As a family we have decided that we are not going the hospital round again. All that would do is possibly help to get rid of the infection so she can lie in the bed longer. We do not see that as quality of life. Please pray for us as we are in this place tonight. Mom has rallied several times in the past, but not sure she has the strength this time.
2/19 - Please pray for my youngest son who is going through a nasty divorce. His wife will not let him see his baby girl and that is killing him. They are fighting in court.
-- Praise! My oldest son got the air traffic job in Atlanta. He starts work Monday. They have gone up there to look for somewhere to live so they will be moving out of my home soon. I am sure I will go through withdrawal from all the activity back to the quiet but it will be nice also.
2/19 - I am in a financial situation I have never been in before. I am so stressed out and don't even know where to start looking for help. We have about $40 for food for the next 2 weeks and most likely will get overdraft fees at the end of the month when automatic payments come out of the checking account. I have faith the God will get us through this, but I wouldn't mind a pray or two as well.
2/17 - The tests came back and my boss, Jackie McCann, has lung cancer but they seem to have caught it early. She is going to have a full body bone scan and then see a specialist.
Also Dad couldn't do his chemo yesterday. He has blisters around his port for some reason so he is doing a week of antibotics.
2/9 Update - The company took bankrupt, so Gene only got to work one day. BUT God did answer prayer and he got his old job back.
2/10 - Please remember my younger sister Angie in prayer. A couple of weeks ago she got up at 1.30am because the doorbell was ringing and just collapsed and knocked herself unconscious! My bil couldn't bring her round so called an ambulance and she was taken to hospital and checked out. They found no reason for the collapse. The next day she began to suffer with vertigo...and although is slightly better is still not able to drive. Her doctor said the vertigo could be a result of concussion.
Thanks, I'm really worried that the collapse is not an indicator of something else.
2/4 - I have had a pain running up my neck for 3 weeks. I have been going to a chiropractor. We are having company tomorrow for a few days. I need to feel good and have more energy.
1/2 - Both my son and son-in-law will be without a job by the end of January. I do trust that God will see them through this. They are both very strong believers.
2/8 Update - The missions conference was amazing. The congregation treated us like royalty. I've been eating constantly for a week. The spiritual food - messages, fellowship, worship - was even more delicious and satisfying. I can never get enough of that kind of nourishment!
12/26 - Hubby is staying about the same on his medication, though his moods have softened a bit. He no longer gets violent. That is a blessing. His memory is no better though and this bothers him a LOT, and is hard for me, too. Thank you for keeping us on the prayer list.

By his perfect life, Jesus fulfilled the commands of the law.
By his death, He satisfied the demands of sin.
