I dont think I have ever missed an SRD, but I have only been to a few IRDs and most of those were when I was an area captain. I might like to go again some day, but I don't think I am likely to because I prefer to use my vacation time doing something with my husband, and he would never go to an IRD. Once we are retired and I have more free time it is possible, although I probably won't be able to afford the cost of going then!

Hi Everyone,

Just checking on here this morning and Mary, it is so nice to see your post! Congratulations on that 35 pound loss you had with Jenny Craig! That is wonderful and that has got to be a great boost for you in every way! We don't need to get skinny is what I've always thought. The main focus is to get healthy!

We are in the cool pines of Show Low for the summer and enjoying it very much. I really like the slower pace of a small community not to mention getting out of our severe summer temps in Phoenix! Even up here it has been in the 90's however and hot enough we have had to turn on the A/C in the afternoons, but it cools down beautifully when the sun starts going down!

Take care and looking forward to seeing your posts!

Sunny

Yes, the century club medallion is nice, but I would agree that it is much nicer to know you never got so out of control that you needed to lose 100 pounds. I am still flirting with that 200 mark. I was below it for quite a while, but went over it again earlier this year and have been real close ever since.

the Century Mediallion must be nice to have but am glad that never let myself get there
I hit that 200 mark and decided that was high enough
best wishes to everyone with 100 or more to lose

Good morning all! I have not been receiving notifications of TOPS PALS in ages! God must have wanted me to check back in with the group! emoticon I have been on Jenny Craig since July 2012 and have lost 35 pounds. I have 28 more pounds to go to my goal weight which is not going to make me height weight proportionate, but I had to be realistic about my goal.
I am so inspired by reading the posts here and I will continue to try to check in on the weekends when I am at my job with Banner Scottsdale Hospital.
Have a great weekend all!

That is so true, Bev. You and I are both examples of that. It's a life long battle. I find that I feel so much better when I'm being careful about how much I'm putting into my stomach. When I think about it, that is a big reward in itself! emoticon

Actually I need to lose close to 60 pounds to get back to my goal weight, but only 30 to get to the 100 pounds off mark. Yes, I feel good that I am 70 pounds lighter than where I started and I try to focus on that more than the 60 pounds I am up from where I was once. I always tell people I am an example of why you need to be vigilant even after you reach goal, and if you start to gain you need to nip it in the bud before it gets out of control.

emoticon Bev, you are doing great! 70 pounds below your starting weight is sure nothing to sneeze at! Only 30 pounds to go and you will be back to your lowest weight! That is amazing!

I earned a century club award once, but only for 100 pounds off. I have it packed away until I am back to where I can say I am 100 pounds below my starting weight again. I am only 70 pounds lighter than my starting weight now. I think I remember Jo Cooper from when I was an area captain and used to attend some of the field staff meetings at IRD. Congrats to her!! I think we may have had someone earn a century club award for a loss of 200 pounds, but I don't know if he has kept it off or not because he is no longer in TOPS. We have a woman in our chapter who just got her first one at SRD this year and will earn a second one once she gets closer to her goal. We are kind of worried that she is getting discouraged because the weight is coming off much harder now than when she started, and she seems to be struggling (and missing meetings more often).

Hey, TOPSMOUSE, it was great to hear from you!

Bev

One of my good friends in TOPS IL 517 has a 3 or 4 year medallion. She told us recently that she had lost the same amount of weight that she weighed in at: 185. Truly she lost a whole other person. She's now below that considerably. It is so great to have these examples in our chapters.

We recently had our WV SRD.

I wanted to share that a friend of mine and Area Captain Jo Cooper
received her 3 Century Medallion this year.

She may be the only one currently in TOPS with 3.

Just wanted to share -- she's such an inspiration.
