Janis:

So happy to have you as part of our team. You are doing the right things.

I have chronic lyme disease which causes CFS and Fibro symptoms. Have you ever been accurately tested for lyme? The only accurate test is the Western Blot thru Igenix Lab in California and you should have a lyme literate doc read the results . They understand lyme much more and many people have been wrongly diagnosed with other conditions when it is really lyme. If you want more info let me know.
Take care
Nancy

Loved your listening to the Bible idea too. I think I will start doing that during my nightly meditation and stretching. I have been listening to binaurual waves on You tube or reiki music.

Wanted to share this link from Oz on FM. Glad I have an accupuncture appt. on Tuesday. Wish I did not have to wait so long. www.oprah.com/health/Dr-Oz-Treatment

Janis, Glad you joined the team. We will do our best to help you find resources to help you on your road to wellness.

You are doing two things that improve your immune system and help you fight the CFS and FM and that is reducing sugar and wheat and adding in rest breaks or pacing during the day.

I have been struggling recently with sciatica and a weird hip pain and wondering if maybe, I am not having an issue with FM. However, since the round of IV antibiotics, I have not had an issue with the CFS. Just need to get on top of the pain.

I have chronic fatigue syndrome & fibromyalgia, so every day is so different. I have fatigue/pain every day and it varies throughout the day. I have to tackle chores, school work, and raising a four year old, and I am finding ways to divide my days to incorporate breaks, or naps. If I don't, I get physically sick and so irritable my hubby tells me to go to bed. For my breaks I like to read about cooking and baking and finding new techniques for gluten free, dairy free, and cane sugar free baking. I like to read biographies and Christian fiction and historical fiction. I like to read the Bible. I also love to watch the Food Network. Other times I just put the headphones on and listen to some meditation apps on my iPad. Either that or I will listen to the Bible which always relaxes me and I end up falling asleep. I generally take one planned nap each day. Some days I need more.

I snuggle with my snuggle pup as long as he will tolerate it. Of course if I want to work on the computer he stands on my lap.

Nancy, I hope this round of antibiotics truly helps. You need a break and to start seeing some positive results.

I am forced to sleep allot and rest everyday. I normally sleep at least half my day away or I cannot function. I am on antibiotic treatment for Babesia- a co infection of Lyme that makes some people bed ridden with fatigue.

If I am super fatigued I put on the cpap and set the timer for ten minutes. Sometimes I nap, but usually I just lay there and try to think pleasant thoughts.

Sometimes laying down and watching another tv talk show or soap opera is plain boring. Still we have to take the planned rest breaks to avoid making ourselves sick. What do you do to make your rests joyful and productive.

I sometimes meditate/pray. Here is a link to some wave music that I find revitalizing. I close my eyes, so I am not influenced by the pictures and ads.
