Its a hard lesson for him to learn, and you are right about not lumping him in with Vick. Last night i was listening to sound bites from the players and everyone still seemed really focused, which was cool.

Hard lesson - - Big dummy sums him up right now - could not have said it better myself - God given talent and luck - - He is his own worse enemy - I do not see him as a nogoodnick like Mike Vick-- Burress just needs to gorw up and learn to obey the law and respect authority - for his sake as well as the NY Giants - The Giants are a world class team and do not need bad press -
They act the way they do becasue we have taught them from high school. They were the start in HS and every one treated them different and said they were great. In college, it was the same. All the breaks, all the recognition, etc. If the coach wanted to win (and keep his million dollar job) he had to keep his talent happy and feeling strong. No punishment, suspensions or hold outs when the player behaved badly or they would go to a differnet school. So they get to the NFL and expect everything to be the same. We've conditioned and trained them well.

I agree - he absolutely does have talent. I don't understand these athletes. Why do they do such STUPID things when they have so much going for them? Oh, and I really liked the idea of trading him to Dallas. He would fit right in.
What we do CAN make a difference. Regardless of the obstacles, create your OWN destiny and make a mark others will admire.
For the Heart, you are 100% right about the Moss/T.O. disease -- he thought he was untouchable! i hope this doesn't taint our season or last year's Super Bowl. Right now unless a plea deal is made i don't know how he can avoid jail time (especially with all the press, Bloomberg coming down on it and his STRONG anti gun law)... i just wish i knew the whys behind the situation. Hope he doesn't take down Pierce.

I at least glad that he got suspended and is now an inactive member of the team. He draws too much attention to himself instead of every other player on the team. Hopefully the team can focus on the upcoming game with the Eagles, and put this distraction behind them.
I am so impressed they didn't skip a beat and rolled over the Redskins without a hitch. What is wrong with Plaxico? He got the contract he wanted and now he's gone crazy. He could get some serious jail time for this, never mind what the league might do..
You know....Burress is a very talented player. The boy is good. But now he's acting stupid... not thinking. Time to bring him down a couple notches. Time for reality to sink in, Plaxico. The Giants know how to re-adjust quickly and flawlessly. Love them Giants!!!
