JLT767 - Best of luck with everything! You may not see changes right away but don't be discouraged. Sometimes the changes that are slower end up sticking for life in the end. I've been really upset that I've gained 2lbs this week after walking 3 miles a few times this week and working out at least 30 minutes minimum everyday. Everyone keeps telling me I'm gaining muscle but I want to see the scale go down, damn it! LOL
Don't try to rush goals or give up if you don't reach them by a certain date. Sometimes it all gets so frustrating especially when you're stressed out but if you quit you wont see the results you want. It sucks when you strive so hard and see little results but in time you should start feeling better and seeing a huge difference. So what if you can't accomplish every goal by a certain deadline? You're trying and if you continue then you should see some kind of success or reward for it in a few months.
Hope things with the court and tickets go okay. Take care!
sorry to hear about the tickets...hope everything works out for the best...
try not to stress so much about the lifestyle change..it will all happen in time...there's no sense in stoppng now...you're already two weeks in...another 2 weeks wont hurt...and let's see the progress made 2 months from now if you keep at it...
I think i'll go lay down and listen to some music or something...i'll try my best to be around sparkpeople a lot...i want to make myself available for anybody who needs and advice, help or whatever the case may be...=]
Life is not about finding yourself...life is about creating yourself...
If you keep doing what you've always done...you'll keep getting what you've always gotten...
Commitment Dedication Determination The Keys to success
I don't really have any advice, but I've had a bunch of low days lately. I don't know if its the weather or what, but I've just been feeling pretty down. I have set a bunch of goals for this year and I'm afraid of not accomplishing them especially the healthy lifestyle. I am afraid that this time will be like every other time. I have been eating healthy for almost two weeks and usually I see a change by now, but this time I really havent. I know it takes awhile and I need to work on being patient and not expecting immediate results.
Oh and I hit an old man while driving on campus today. Well, I barely tapped him (he just had a bruise on his knee) and he made a big deal and made me call 911 and I got two tickets and now I have to go to court.
Sorry this is so long, I just needed to vent. Lately when I've been having a bad day, I just try to lean on the people I love. And, talking to others on this amazingly, supportive board helps too! Just know if your having a low day, everyone else and I are here for you!
I go for a nice little walk and if I still feel iffy then I take a few hours to relax and maybe take a little nap if I actually have time. Sometimes oranges or other particular foods help me get an extra boost of energy going and I gradually start going from a light to a moderate work out. If I'm not feeling particularly well then the last thing I want to do is eat anything with grease in it because it'll make my day worse.
If you're not feeling well do take some time to relax. It'll give your body time to recover from previous work outs. If you want to keep your spirits up then look at the progress you've made and avoid the bad evil foods. Take your mind off things with a funny movie, kick back and have a laugh. You might starting feeling better and if you have some energy work out while enjoying a movie or tv show.
