My downfall is snacking after supper to bedtime. Lots of times it is healthy foods, apples, fresh veggies but if I ever start on choc or salty nuts those are my trigger foods. Hard to call a halt to it.
Large portions, Ice Cream and snack chips. I would buy candy when I got upset about something. I still have never been able to eat slow or cut out evening snacking. So I have to measure my food and read labels for correct portion size. I eat sugar free jello and pudding instead of ice cream. Lorraine

I'm a recreational baker and would make multiple sweets and breads on a day or in a week and before they were gone I would make more. The freezer had bags of various sweets and breads that I would put away just to justify making more.
These were all made with real butter and eggs and all the other ingredients that were full of everything that expanded a body.
And I ate these baked goods without concern for the larger clothes sizes I had to buy.

I've never been a big snacker through the day, but I've always been one to eat a lot at meals. Even now I eat more than my husband does. But he's got a belly, and I don't. I would if I didn't exercise, though.

I'm curious to know what you think your biggest problem with food was. I've discovered that it can be different for different people. Some people snack all day whether they have meals or not. Some people eat very large meals with several helpings of food. Others tend to binge, eating a lot of junky food in a short time, and possibly keep on going the rest of the day. Which were you?
