Weight fluctuates a lot. If you were to weigh yourself every hour during the day, you'd probably see ups and downs of at least two pounds over the course of a day. And what you ate last night and when you ate it, how much you exercised and when, how much water you drank, etc., can all account for the two pounds. You want to see the trend over the weeks and months, not from day to day. It happens that I weigh daily, and I am familiar with what are "normal" fluctuations for me, and what are gains that I need to pay attention to. But I've been maintaining for nearly 6 years and kept within a couple of pounds of my goal over that period. You'll get the hang of it. While I was losing weight, I weighed weekly. You'll find what works best for you -- and try not to let the scale rule your emotions. You are so much more than a number! Concentrate on the good habits you are building, one day at a time, give yourself credit for everything you do right, and have faith that your weight will drop to the level you want as you take care of your body.
