Great advice from other people, as usual on SP - and the worst case scenario is still that you lost 9lb in 2 weeks! How cool is that?

Just keep tracking your food, drink and activity and you'll keep losing.

You have been given good advice. Weighing every day is not a good thing mentally. The scales can fluctuate for a number of reasons. Once a week is best.

Weight fluctuates a lot. If you were to weigh yourself every hour during the day, you'd probably see ups and downs of at least two pounds over the course of a day. And what you ate last night and when you ate it, how much you exercised and when, how much water you drank, etc., can all account for the two pounds. You want to see the trend over the weeks and months, not from day to day. It happens that I weigh daily, and I am familiar with what are "normal" fluctuations for me, and what are gains that I need to pay attention to. But I've been maintaining for nearly 6 years and kept within a couple of pounds of my goal over that period. You'll get the hang of it. While I was losing weight, I weighed weekly. You'll find what works best for you -- and try not to let the scale rule your emotions. You are so much more than a number! Concentrate on the good habits you are building, one day at a time, give yourself credit for everything you do right, and have faith that your weight will drop to the level you want as you take care of your body.

If not now, when?

Just remember, one step at a time. Be happy and love yourself, eating healthy and exercise will become part of your life.

You can gain two pounds just by eating some salty stuff, because it makes you retain water.
Just keep doing the right thing, keep your calories in the correct zone, and you will be fine. Not a problem, really!

Jerry, this is the problem with daily weighing. We aren't machines, and weight will move up and down with water, contents of bowels, etc. Weigh once a week, write it down, then check month to month. That's the trend that matters. Weight loss is a slow affair because we watch it so closely, but it really isn't any longer than gaining. Just stick to your plan today, then tomorrow stick to it another day. It all adds up. Dieting is learning about patience as much as learning about food.
