It's my first holiday maintaining as well -- and I started my diet just before Thanksgiving last year, so I was still all "gung ho."

Made it through Thanksgiving dinner OK -- but I just loaded up on the turkey breast and veggies, which I love, and avoided the pie and stuffing.

My plan is to simply refuse most holiday treats, and only allow myself a few planned servings of my very favorites. I wish I could be more relaxed, but I think I need more maintenance experience before I feel comfortable going without the safety net of a set plan.

I hope some of the more experienced maintainers will share some of their secrets with us!

Starting Weight: 268 lbs. (November 2010)
Quasi-Maintenance: 165 lbs. (June 2011)
Goal Weight: 150 lbs. (reached December 8, 2011)

Size 22W to Size 4

Currently maintaining within 5 lbs. (+ or -) of goal. I weigh daily, but also use a tape measure and the fit of my clothes to guage how well I'm doing.

This will be my first year trying to maintain weight loss during the holidays and I already feel myself starting to struggle a bit more. The constant visitors and the frequent food events at work have been making the challenge of eating healthy a lot more difficult. I know I can do this though; best wishes for a happy holiday season with the joys of maintaining without the guilt.
