I'm giving until the end of the month, if no job prospects, then I'm selling the house and moving south!
Sorry it's been so long! After my hip surgery in Dec and PT to get back to walking unaided, just recently lost my job, it's the first time since 1987 that I've been unemployed! Just happened so I'm focused on job hunting so I won't be around a lot!

It's a new year and I've been back for mobilization for almost a month. I ran a 5K on NY Eve in 31:30, I hope to do lots of them this year and improve my time and overall standings!

Back from vacation, it was great, it was filled with evacuation because of possible tsunami from earthquake off the west coast, news that Sandy may hit DC area, come back to find Sandy knocked out power and we had no heat, got that fixed and 3 days later it went out again, so got heat back last night the starter on gas heater was faulty and biggest of all, a power shift at work.
Been really busy since I got back last Wed and it's not going to get any better for a while I fear.
Vacation starts on Friday and I packed this weekend because I knew I would be busy, but everyday since I packed I keep remembing things I need to pack, so if I remember too much more, will probably have to repack.
thanks for the support. The surgery is going to be done on my time frame, not the Dr schedule. I still don't have my head wrapped around the need, but they say it won't repair itself. This weekend it wasn't bad at all!
Hope the December timeframe works out for you, I know it can be a big decision. Keep us posted!

hey gang, they want me to do surgery on the 20 of Nov, I want to wait until Dec, hope I can make it happen, if not maybe I'll wait until next year! there is always pain meds right!
Had a great weekend, I did my Asian theme (all spark receipes) dinner and it was a lot of work, Asian dishes require a lot of hand holding - nothing but the almond cookies could be cooked before hand and all the chopping of the veggies and meat I did the day before. Anyway it was a hugh success!
Think we found out why my hip and knee have been so painful, after xrays and MRI showed nothing, it's apparently the muscle that goes from the hip to the knee, hoping PT will fix.
Hi CB, how are you? Looks like things are improving for your mom, that's great! I just got back to SP and already doing pretty good for my first few days again. Its a lovely warm day , sunny too and I will be getting out for a good walk after I get my hair cut done. Its too nice to stay inside this little apartment! I may go trout fishing later! Might just land my supper!

Mom is getting better every day. Can't keep a good women down!
Sorry haven't been around much, mom was diagnosed with breast cancer and things have been moving fast, prognosis is good, but boy it can be time consumming. spent 8 hours at hospital yesterday for her surgery and she kept me up most of the night. Seems everyone is doing fine, keep up the good work.
