Being outside sounds blissful! We're in full-on Oregon winter - rainy and damp every day, and the sun is literally only up from 8AM-4PM! Jeez! I love visiting NY in Winter. Even though it's cold, it's at least still sunny!
How fun! (Biking AND the kitty!) We're having an unseasonably warm January day, too! 65 degrees for upstate NY...now that's unseasonable! My sinuses are telling me it's warmer...they think it's the spring frost and they're driving me nuts! But I'm enjoying the milder weather, anyway...even if it is a result of global warming!

It was a holiday season of not excercising for me and of indulging in my mother-in-law's famous cookies. Gained a couple of pounds to show for it but am back on track now-hitting the gym and eating better. Also, got a new BIKE for christmas and had an unseasonably warm Ohio day yesterday. I was able to take it out for a long ride. It was nice to be able to excercise outside a little in January! How rare!
Also got a new kitty for christmas-named Louis. Santa brought him for my daughters (but he is really for me!!). Been spending my new year playing with him a lot. So much fun! Now if he would only let me sleep at night...
Hi Everyone - I am finally back from three weeks with friends and family in New York for the holidays. I had a GREAT time, but overindulged quite a bit - set myself back a few pounds, and didn't exercise at all. It's amazing to me what a difference it made for me not to be able to log on to Spark! I had fun playing in the snow with my nephew, and knitting with my mom, as well as seeing all the changes to Brooklyn and the rest of the City (hello - new Pearl River and Muji store!) with my friends.
Now I am getting back in the swing of things, and I wanted to check in with all of you. How were your holidays? Did you stay on track? What were your biggest challenges?
I am so happy to see that we have a handful of new members - welcome! Please feel free to start topics in this forum, and just reach out for help if you need it. I have posted to each of your Spark Pages now, to make it easier for you to reach me.
Cheers to a wonderful 2008 for all of us! It's good to be home. -Kristin
