Coach Nancy, great reminder! We all should be very careful to read labels when buying any food products and supplements, incl. sports nutrition products, and learn about what the ingredients do to our body. I don't usually consume any sports drinks, gels etc. but was interested if anyone had tried this product.

Please note that SparkPeople does not endorse products such as the one linked below. Remember supplements are not regulated by the FDA therefore these supplements are not subjected to premarket safety evaluations and the concentration of active ingredients can vary widely. And this includes sports drinks and supplements. As long as a supplement does not stte that it can cure an illness, it can pretty much say anything.
I up my carbs ever so slightly before a race, but I find that changing my routine radically always affects me - usually negatively. Then again, I'm sort of "carb sensitive" and get tired easily if I eat carbs.
Thanks for sharing!
