I searched some and tried to find a website televising it but now I know where to go next year. Thanks for the info. Maybe I'm just one of a few but there are parts of the race I would like to see. I'd like to see the wheelchair racers because they are so inspiring. I read Runner's World and also follow some of their other articles on their web page and am getting to know the names of some of the elite runners so I have more interest. I've never been interested in most televised sports and wouldn't want to watch races every weekend but the big ones or some of the really flamboyant ones I would like to see parts of. I wanted them to be on tv so I could dvr it and watch when ready. Thanks for all the feedback whether you agree or aren't interested.

I have never even seen a race other than the olympics televised. I could watch maybe 20 minutes of a race. Like highlights and then the big finish. That would be all I would want to see. I have never even seen that.

Because people in this country are obsessed with football, baseball and basketball, maybe hockey. That's where all the money and advertising goes. emoticon

I did enjoy seeing the elite runners of the New York Marathon that was televised. Not necessary want to see hours and hours but the competition between those that were in the lead. Maybe not televise it live but do an hour or two with highlights. I don't see how people can watch golf, especially a whole channel devoted to it, but then that's just my personal opinion.

Linda,

Because running is still an individual sport and a sport that does not appeal to many who are not runners. Sadly, even the Olympic marathons are sliced and diced into smaller segments.

As much as I love running, I must say I don't find it too eventful watching people run...there's just not much to it.

RUN SPARK STRONG!

I don't know if I'm the only one who feels this way. I would have loved to record the Chicago marathon last weekend to watch. I did the New York Marathon and found I really enjoyed it. If you live around CHicago they show it on the local affiliates but not when you live way across the country like I do. I would love to watch Boston, Chicago, New York, and some of the other really big races, or even some of the smaller ones. Just about every other sport under the sun is on tv, or at least most of them. Why can't they give some coverage to the road races? I searched through all my Direct TV Choice package starting a week before and even on race day trying to find a station with it on but couldn't find anything. Anyway, just thought I'd voice my opinion.
