'nother not-run day. Thanksgiving dinner with DW, DD and grandson. Did some gardening this morning, and will do more later in the day. Running day tomorrow. For sure.

I had a great run this morning! It was a cool morning (40 deg) so I bundled up the kids and strapped them into the jogger and did a hilly loop through the woods and fields of the rural area just north of Amherst. A beautiful crisp and clear fall morning with nice fall color to boot. The kids did great, falling asleep after the first big hill bundled in their fuzzy cocoons. I think that cool and crisp is about my favorite running weather!

We ended up doing 7 miles in just under 60 min, not too shabby!

Looking forward to running with t wiht them at a small 5k at UMass next saturday. There are two short hills on the course including a steep short one at about the 2.9 mile mark. With a good run, I think I can get below 25 with the double buggy. Under 26 is more realistic though! Last year i did it without the kids and ran a 22:40.

We do not rise to the level of our expectations. We fall to the level of our training.

Very humid and not as cool as a 6am October Florida morning might be. Ran 5.5 miles with Galloway group and enjoyed it! Wish I could figure out how to keep my glasses from fogging up. Not many runners wear glasses, but I'm not comfy in contacts.

Not a 'run day' for me. Gotta spend the morning prepping a sermon. Looking to do 4-5 hours work in the garden this afternoon. Feel like I'd like to find time for a walk-with-poles sometime today.

Run was good, but weather was cold! Just need to get used to the cooler temps, but even with layers I was chilly!

Day off today, but definitely will run tomorrow. If weather is good, I'll run outdoors and plan for 10k; if the weather's bad--and it looks as if it will be--I'll dreadmill it as long as I can, probably trying intervals to keep it interesting.

This am a 10k distance timed in 60;30, this was on a TM at the gym , I've become a bit apprehensive about running alone outdoors ( due to some previous health issues). I felt very strong during the run and at the end.

Cool morning. 10K in 68 minutes. I am recovering from a race 2 days ago and my legs are tired. Was a good run though. Plus 1.5 mile walk for wu/cd

I am not yet where I would like to be, but I am no longer where I was.

Beautiful weather this morning! Getting back into running, and did run/walk for 20 minutes - plus extra walking with my dog.

YANKS10 - you still went 5.6 more miles after feeling you lost your edge. You should give yourself credit for keeping on! That counts for a lot.

I did a tempo run today - had a personal best in the mile of 9 mins 47 seconds so I guess the interval training is slowly paying off. I can only do one mile at that pace, but I'll keep working.

Today I walked into a 6.55 mile run timed out in 65 minutes. I usually take at least 5 minutes to warm up before any type of run this time I decided not to. I felt strong at the finish, and I did stretch out during my cool down.

Completed wk3 day 3 of c25k I am doing each week twice since I am new to running and over 65. It just feels good to move my body more than just walking. I don't know if I'll get all the way thru the program but I feel much fitter than before I started it.

Today I added interval training to my running regimen in an attempt to add a little speed to my very pokey running! I was able to get over to the local high school and run around the track before the weather got too hot and before the high school team arrived for their running practice.

Just getting back into running after vacation (hiking). 3.3k this morning around 4:30. It was 33C and 80% humidity - better than yesterday, when it was 33C/90%! Hoping it gets a little better before the weekend or I will have to go to the gym and run on the treadmill to get any distance at all.

14 miles today a little over a 9 minute pace. This is the longest run I have had since my Illinois Marathon in April. I was released from physical therapy on Wednesday and I am getting back on track with my training for the Twin Cities Marathon. I do not have my mileage as high as I would like but am pleased with where I am at after having had to take time off for a hip issue.

Well, I didn't run today, but I did spend an hour and a half walking behind Son-in-Law's electric lawn mower as I mowed his back yard . . .

Everything worked out okay--on the TM the 5k distance timed out at 29.35. Then I "jogged" the same distance in 32.27. So a total of 6.20 in a bit over 62 minutes.

Participated in a local Walk for Cancer today. Walked, didn't run, 10k. Was glad to get in the mileage and realized I had forgotten how soothing a long walk can be : )
