Mary just focus on portion size, and walk every where you can. That's why I do when I visit my family. I have all those old favorites! BUT, I really watch my portions and I walk walk walk walk walk. (I probably walk like 10 or more miles a day when I am with them, cause I just walk every where!). And I always come home to at least a 2 or more lb weight loss!

Well, I'll be leaving tomorrow to visit my family in Chicago. Needless to say, it will be a very difficult week eating wise. I have very high hopes to make good choices and will be bringing my food jouirnal.

I will start my 100 day challenge on the 22nd. I wish you all success as you begin your challenge on Monday.

My one goal will be to journal what I eat for those 100 days. This is something I really have waffled on. The minute I eat something I don't want to chart, I have quit. I think this will be very helpful.emoticon

I like your philosophy, Heather. The accountability of this challenge is what I need. I'm going to start with two essentials:

1) Drink 6 or more glasses of water
2) Eat two servings of fruit

It has not officially started yet. It will begin on Monday And go through January 23rd! :)

Judy just pick one thing. I find just working on one thing at a time, is what made lasting changes, when I tried too many at once, I couldn't do them all at the same time and gave up! But, when you do one at a time, especially for 100 days, by the end of the 100 days it's become just part of life, and easier to then add another new habbit.

Hi everyone. I have been MIA the past few days.

I would love to join the challenge. I want to commit to going to Curves three times a week and attending my WW meetings each week for the next 100 days (actually I will be starting a week from Monday because I will be out of town next week and will not be in my comfort zone to start this challenge). Another goal I have for myself is to cook more meals at home. I seem to go out for lunch quite often and am not hungry for a good meal in the evening only to get very hungry just before bed. I am aiming for very light meals at lunch and a good, well-rounded, healthy meal at dinner. If I can achieve these three goals, I think I will be on my way to a very healthy lifestyle and a weight loss.

Will we be recording our progress daily, weekly, or just keeping track ourselves to report in after the challenge is complete?

OK - this is BA again - Melanie and I figured out how to have two separate Spark log ins. Today I did 60 minutes of activity - 30 minutes at Curves, and a 30 minute walk tonight with the dog.

This is actually B.A. Melanie and I share a computer, and I didn't know that that she already subscribed to Sparkpeople when I signed up to belong.

My 100 day challenge will be to get at least 30 minutes of activity/exercise daily. I've already been doing it for 21 days for a 30 day challenge on another board I'm part of, but it's such a great challenge, I won't mind extending it.

The first time I joined the 100 Day Challenge, I got myself in to the exercise habbit and it worked sooooo well. The second time I got myself in to the habbit of trying at least 1 new recipe a week, and again worked wonderfully to keep things new and fresh and keep me on task!

Who's up for a 100 day challenge?
