Went to Wal-Mart and got some velcro to sew my MIL's lounge gown with the fasteners at the shoulder. Suppose to help her get dressed because of her fractured shoulder and wrist. I think I told everyone about it. She is doing a little better and ate dinner at the table with my DD. I sewed all afternoon and finished the Caftan lounge dress for her. Will send in mail tomorrow.
Patty-that pie sounds delicious. I have not tried chocolate because of the caffeine, to see if it bothers me.
Jan-living on the coast has its draw backs, but it must be nice to live so close to the ocean.
Ann-enjoy your book.

DH didn't get home from the Idaho driving trip until almost 3 AM. He's still tired and will need a nap today.
Those tornadoes are horrible and you never know where they will touch down. I guess each of our areas have their challenges. We have land slides and are vulnerable to tsunamis, also have earthquakes at times. I guess with the tsunami it would never hit our house on the hill but could destroy the low roads that would take you out of town. Oh, we do get the windstorms, too.
Patty, I like your "clean a bit and knit a lot". Your dinner last night sounds wonderful and so does the pie.
Good afternoon Girls, We have had lunch already at senior center, and some of you may be having a leisurely breakfast...
new pics on my blog.
Bad storm last night. thunder and lightening and lots of rain. I slept through it all. I slept better last night than I have in a long time...
Those poor people in Nebraska...tornadoes scare me, just the thought of them.
Now I need to go downstairs and clean a bit, and knit a lot.
Last night we had chicken burritos with onions, cheese and sour cream. corn on the cob, (I didn't have any corn) and asparagus. Same for supper tonight.
I did make a pie, kind of like JoAnna's Almond rejoice pie
I used a chocolate pie crust 1 pkg of each choc. and vanilla pudding, mixed together 1 1/3 cup dry milk powder the right amount of water for this, for some reason I can't figure out the amount. I used a 2/3 cup measure, and filled it 4 times...is that 2 2/3 cups? that seems like a lot.
1 cup cool whip light. divided 1/4 cup coconut 1 TB. mini choc. chips a few almonds to put sparingly on top of the crust.
Mix the puddings, dry milk powder and water. Add the coconut, and 1/2 cup cool whip. Pour into pie shell. top with cool whip. then sparingly put the almonds around the pie, and sprinkle mini choc chips on top.
this was so good. It does have memories of almond joys...
