Last evening we went and found a place that had a lot more petrified wood and I found the largest piece. Today I went with hubby as he did his cleaning jobs today instead of last night. I sat in the car and had a chance to read my Bible and work on some menus. Then hubby was too hungry to wait to get home so we had a Whopper Jr at Burger King. Then home where DS came by to unload some of the petrified wood and rose quarts. Then he was off to his friends farm to help plant bok choy. DH and I went to Holbrook to go by the petrified wood shop. Then went to KOA where friends were selling their polished petrified wood for a charity function. Anything they sell will go to the chairty. Then home for supper.
Patty-how nice of you DH to get the yarn for you and it to turn out to be such a good buy.
Jan-I will have to try and find the peach melba cottage cheese salad recipe. Will have to try it, it sound good.
Glenna-it is a busy season for getting gardens going. At least you have some rain. We have had very little participation and are already in stage 1 fire danger up here.
Ann-praying for you and hope they can do something to help you out.
Check out my Sparkpage, and the blog post. I put pictures of my large piece of petrified wood on it.

It is a rainy day in WV. But it is comfortable temperature wise. I went to the garden earlier to set out some onion plants that I had started from seed. It got to raining pretty hard so we came back to the house.
Jan, That is good your dh is getting to work extra. The peach melba cottage cheese salad sounds good. It is hard to go wrong with cottage cheese and peaches!! I love both!
Patty, Oh what fun to go thru the yarn and dream of what you will make. I always loved to get a stash of yarn or fabric and plan what I would make from it. Are you still using the smaller needles for the socks?
Nina, How are you doing today? I enjoy your pictures of where you live and the things you and your family do.
Ann, I hope you are feeling better today. Love and prayers are coming your way.
Jan,, Thanks for asking about my hip. It is better. It still has it moments, but is much improved from last winter.

Good morning Girls, Hubby has the stumper back home and is stumping away. I think men just love those big machines, don't you? Imagine, a machine that will grind away a stump...amazing.
Guess what hubby did for me yesterday...he went yard saleing, and came home with a bag of sock yarn, enough yarn for 17 pair of socks...for $8...since I am, at this time, addicted to making socks, and I am addicted to it, he bought me more yarn. Now some of this yarn, in fact most of this yarn, is hand dyed wool, amazing colors. The skein I am using now, was $24 new. It will only make maybe 3 socks...so I will add it to other colors for the second pair...normally it makes 1 pair...gorgous colors. This one I am doing is guess what color? oranges my fave color to work with, so bright and cheery... I started on it yesterday top down, and am at the heel this morning...then on to the foot, and then on to the second sock...many people have problem with the second sock syndrome, but I love knitting the second sock, because then I can wear them...
ok, enough talk of my addiction of the moment...
I have been so tired lately, just can't seem to get any energy back since I was sick. Oh well. maybe this is my new level for now.
Ann, still praying for healing and for peace for you.
have a good day girls. Sunshine and high of 64...a perfect day to work outside.
